Chapter 16

Loki knew she would find out sooner or later. But he had to go.

Once Zania fell asleep in the bed, he kissed her cheek once. He quietly got up and slipped out the room.

When he reached downstairs, Thor awaited him.

"She's asleep?" Thor asked.

"She is," Loki answered. Thor tried to read Loki.

"Loki, are you sure you want to do this without her?" Thor wondered.

Loki looked at Thor before looking back at the corridors. He took a deep breath, speaking, "She'll understand. Somehow."

Thor nodded once before walking out the palace, alongside the Warriors Three and Sif. Loki stayed in place, thinking of Zania for a moment before catching up with Thor.

Frigga watched him, sighing. "Son," she called.

Loki paused to look at her. "Yes, mother?"

She went to him and hugged him. "Be safe. All of you. And return unharmed," she said. Loki looked at her.

"If Zania asks, tell her to understand my reason," he said. She nodded. Loki kissed Frigga's cheek once before walking out.

When they arrived to Heimdall, he lead them into Faytum, which all never knew what could be ahead of them.
