[ Zania's POV ]

I woke up feeling the back of my head ache and my stomach churning. I was laying on a soft fabric, he cotton feel cushioning against my skin. I sat up slowly, glancing around.
Where am I?

Right then I knew I was still in Faytum, because of the room I was in. Well, my old room. I looked down at myself and frowned, seeing I was dressed in a full black dress; hints of golden glitter against my chest. Who the Hel decided to change my clothes?

I had so many questions that needed to be answered. Where was Loki? Where was Thor? Where was my father? Why couldn't he understand he was safe in Asgard? Why are we in this situation?

My father had completely lost his mind.

My head turned towards the door, seeing a Leviathan standing there. It's beady dark crimson eyes stared at me. They were as ugly as Frost Giants, really. Except for Loki, of course.

"Your father waits for you," it sneered. I said nothing, deciding not to give a sarcastic comment and obey the creature. I stood to my feet, feeling the bareness of them hit the wooden floor. I walked to the Leviathan before it led me away.

The Leviathan led me to my father's old study, where he himself stood on the balcony. He was looking out, so his back was towards me. The Leviathan left us, having me and my father alone.

"My sweet offspring, come," My father called. I stayed silent, treading slowly to my father's side and following his gaze.

"There's nothing much to see here anymore, but do you remember how beautiful it once was?" He asked with a sigh. I nodded and shifted my feet. "Your mother used to bring you here and show you the stars, and both of you would pretend to have your own."

"I know. I remember," I said. He laughed quietly. "So you do," he whispers. He turns his head to look at me.

This man was my father, but he was corrupted.

"We could have all of that again, Zania. You and I. Rebirth Faytum. Have villagers. Servants. Guards," he explains. "Mum wouldn't want this," I blurted. He stared at me like I had given out a surprise. "No?" "I meant what has now happened with you." I faced him and examined his face. "If she saw you and how you are, I assure she wouldn't recongize you." "Your mother loved me." "And I did too." "Do you not love me now?" "You tried to kill me!"

Quantam just...laughed. He reached out and patted my cheek, but I jerked away.

My Father said nothing, eyes watching me with steadiness. "Look around you, Zania. This is our home." "My home is now Asgard." Quantam scoffed, a sense of mock in it as he looked back out towards the dark sky. "I see they corrupted and twisted your mind." I narrowed my eyebrows. "They did no such thing. Frigga treats me like her own, Loki loves me...Odin and I barely have a bond and he acts more like a father than you!" "I carry more power than he does."

I stared at him, blinking repeatedly and stepping back. Was this how Loki was before his mind was corrupted? --Stop. This is just Quantam and you.

"Who are you?" I asked quietly. "Quantam. And your father." "No. There's something that's blinding you. It's taking over who you used to be--" "I've always been this way." "You used to love me! And mother. You used to make sure we came first! She died for us!"

"Then it's rather disappointing she isn't here to watch me take this realm into aid."

My eyes filled with tears and my cheeks flushed hot. "You're not my father. I don't even know you anymore," I say as my throat becomes dry.

"Oh, you'll remember your place, my daughter. And then you'll be by my side as this realm grows into place."

Mhm. He was going insane. I didn't say anything for awhile, but glanced off to the side and saw a wine bottle on the round table. I edged to it. "Maybe I will," I agreed.

Quantam hummed, impressed as he couldn't sense what I was doing.

I grabbed hold of the bottle and held it tightly.
This'll hurt.

"Or maybe I won't," I added before hitting the bottle against the back of his head. The bottle shattered against his skull and Quantam fell to the floor with a thump. I dropped the leftover glass pieces and ran out the room to look for Thor and Loki.
