I skipped up the stairs, aware that I looked like a mad ape, but not caring. I pulled out my set of keys, unlocking the door, then barged into Emma and Jake's apartment, slamming the door shut behind me.
Emma jumped, and I watched as she rewrapped herself in her blue towel. "Oh my god! Noah! Don't you think you should knock?" My eyes widened as she glared at me and I gave her a look.
"Oh my god! Emma! Shut the hell up?" I mimicked her, making her grow red in the face. "I've seen you a billion times before, and nothing has changed yet." She narrowed her green eyes at me, coming a step closer. "I mean, you'd think you're breast will get a size bigger, but, nope."
"I hate you!" She hissed, and I shook my head from side to side in a mocking way.
"Yeah, yeah. Where's Jake, I need to talk to him." Before she had time to answer, he came striding down the hall with a towel wrapped around his waist.
"What are you doing here?" He asked in his usual snippy attitude, and I sighed.
"Oh, thank god!" I breathed, and he furrowed his thick eyebrows together. "Jake, you need to talk to Mom, okay? She has finally lost her mind."
"What are you talking about?" He asked, confusion written all over his face. I watched Emma as she glared at me on her way down the hall, then shook my head dismissively.
"Jake, she is trying to send me away!" I explained, trying to make him see my problem. He just laughs.
"Send you away?" He grins at me, and I narrow my eyes at him.
"Yes, away. Like rehab, or boarding school. Whichever you see fit!"
"You're a grown ass man, Noah." He states the obvious, and I roll my eyes.
"Exactly! That's what I need you to tell her."
"Why do I have to tell her?" He chuckles, folding his arms across his chest. "You have a mouth, use it."
"Yeah. I do. Is she going to listen is the issue." He sighs dramatically running his fingers through his still wet hair. "Jake, she is trying to make me go to New York, and work with Leonardo."
"Our cousin Leonardo?" He asks with an irritating smirk, and I narrow my eyes at him.
"No, Leonardo DiCaprio-YES our cousin!" I was in a pit of boiling rage, and he was standing in front of me laughing his ass off.
"That... is... TERRIBLE!" He let out between laughs, and I sighed.
"Yes, he's an even bigger douche bag than you are." I complained, and then went to the fridge, popping open a beer. " This is absurd. She can't control my life." He continues to laugh at me, and I take a long swig.
"You're on your own man, I refuse to star in your psychodrama," he sighs, going into the bedroom, and shutting the door.
My mouth dropped, and I groaned. Some kind of brother he is! I hocked down the beer, then flinched when I heard three knocks on the door. Oh no, I thought, panicking. She followed me!
"I'll get it!" I yell, though I doubt either Emma or Jake cared who was at the door. They've been so wrapped up in each other, they probably wouldn't even notice if their house was bursting into flames around them. They'd probably think it was romantic... Bleh!
I opened the door to find Ashlyn, Emma's friend, standing at the door. Her blond hair was tied in knots, and she was cradling her four year old daughter, Lily. "Ew," I say, letting them in.
