Chapter 23 - Future

(Daisy POV)

It's been one month since I came to SHIELD. Me and the team are very close now and Mack is my partner and best friend.

We discovered new inhumans and helped them with their powers.

And one month has passed and I didn't hear anything from my parents. I'm so worried about them.

Right now, I'm heading to Coulson's office.

When I get there, I knock at the door. I heard him saying "Come in." So I enter and stay in front of his desk.

"You wanted to see me." I say.

"Yes, I tell you everything in the way to the car." I nod. He gets up and we walk to the car.

"Minutes ago, we received a call from a man. He said he found a homeless man with powers." He explains.

I nod for him to continue.

"He also said that he wanted to talk to you." He says.

I look at him, confused.

"How does he know my name?" I ask.

"I don't know. But that's what we're gonna find out." He says.

May is already in the car so me and Coulson enter it.

- 30min later -

We arrive at the local and get out of the car. Police cars are already here.

Then a dark man comes to me and says "Daisy..."

"How do you know my name?" I ask.

"I saw you... I saw all of this happening." He says.

"You saw the future?" I ask.

He nods and says "After I touch that guy." And then he points to a homeless man.

Before I can say anything, a aircraft comes and starts shooting at us.

"HYDRA!!" May screams and starts shooting at the aircraft.

Me and the dark man hide behind a police car.

"Daisy..." The man says.

I look at him.

"This is when I die..." He says and the the aircraft shoots at him and he falls dead on the floor.

"No..." I whisper.

Suddenly, the aircraft explodes.

I look at the homeless man and see that he's in the floor with pieces of the aircraft on him.

I run to him. He's dying.

"Oh my God... Hey stay with me. Everything is gonna be fine." I say and touch his hand.

Suddenly, I'm in the air and start seeing things.

I see my mom injured in a hospital bed. I see my dad being shot. I see myself crying on his side.

And then I fall to the ground.

I'm on my knees and hear Coulson and May running to me.

They kneel at my right side.

"Daisy?" Coulson asks.

I look up to him.

"I have to save them... I have to save them..." I whisper.

"Who?" May asks.

"My parents, they're in danger." I say.

Then I hear the homeless man whisper "I'm sorry..."

I go to him and say "Hey, it's okay. And you're gonna be fine." I say.

"No, I'm not... Can you do me a favor?" He asks.

I nod.

"Find my daughter and protect her... Her name is Robin..." He says and gives me a carved bird.

I take the bird.

"Please protect her..." He whispers.

"I will... I promise..." I say.

Then he closes his eyes. I check for a pulse. Nothing.

- 40min later -

We arrive at SHIELD and get out of the car.

I deal Tony's number in my phone and wait for him to pick up. Maybe he can help me find my parents.

Then he speaks.

"Daisy, I was gonna call you right now." He says.

"Why? What happened?" I ask getting nervous.

"Your mom... She's..." He says.

"She's what Tony? Talk to me!" I say.

"She's here at the facility but... She's in the medical wing." He says.

"What happened?" I ask.

"She was shot, two times. Stomach and shoulder. And she has a broken leg. I'm surprised that she had the strength to call us." He says.

"I'm coming to you." I say.

"Okay." He says and then I hung up.

"Coulson, I have to go to the Avengers facility. My mom was shot." I say.

"Take the quinjet. It's faster." He says

I nod and go to the quinjet.

Lucky me, I know how to pilot.
