( Daisy POV )
After we leave the cemetery, we ride home. We were expecting for our parents to be home already but when we entered in the house, it was empty.
I enter in my bedroom. Everything is the same. I take a shower and put on some fresh clothes.
When I walk downstairs, I see James sitting on the couch and doing something on his phone. I sit beside him.
"I just texted mom. She and dad are at uncle Tony's." James says.
"Okay... So, what changed in nine years?" I ask.
"Not much, really. For me, at least." He says. Suddenly, his phone rings with a text.
He frowns when he reads it. From the corner of my eye, I can see a name and a red heart.
"Girlfriend?" I ask, smiling.
"Uh, yeah." He says, not looking very happy.
"You don't look too happy. Trouble?" I ask.
"She's just- I don't know." He says, groaning.
"Frustrating?" I ask.
"Yeah. And needy. And super jealous of every girl that's my friend." He says.
"Sophia and Torunn?" I ask.
"Yeah. You remember them?" He asks.
"How could I forget your friends? You were so shy but when you met them it was like I was seeing a new side of my brother that I never saw before." I say, smiling.
He laughs.
"Maybe she's not good for you. You need someone that respects you as you respect them. Someone to love as they love you back." I say.
"You're right." He says.
After some seconds of silence, he speaks up.
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine. A little tired but I'm okay." I say.
"That's good." He says.
"Geez, where are mom and dad? They're taking so long." I say.
"Wanna ride to uncle Tony's? We can surprise them." He says.
"Let's go." I say, getting up and putting on my jacket.
James comes behind me and then we enter in the car and he drives away. When James parks the car, I can feel my heart beat fast and while the elevator starts going up, my heart beats faster and faster by each floor we pass.
We get out of the elevator and stand outside the door.
"Are you ready?" James ask.
"Yeah."I say and he knocks on the door. Seconds later, the door opens and a sad Tony stands in front of us. But when he notices me, his expression turns from sad to shocked in an instant.
He doesn't say anything, he just gives me a big hug. I hug him back, smiling. I see my brother entering the apartment.
"I can't believe this..." He says as we let go of each other.
I smile and ask "Can I come in?"
"Of course." He says and leads me inside. He closes the door behind me.
"How are you alive? We just buried you..." He says, sad.
"It's okay. What matters now is that I'm here and I'll explain everything later." I say.
He nods.
"Your parents are in the living room." He says and nods towards the living room.
I slowly walk towards the living room. When I stop, I can see my parents' backs faced to me and James in front of them.
We stand a few feet from each other.
Then, James points to me and my parents turn around. As soon as they see me, they're faces turn from confused to shocked. My dad is the first to aproach me. He touched my arm and then strongly hugs me, making sure I'm real. I cry on his shoulder and soon, my mom joins my dad on hugging me. She's crying too and for the tears I feel on my back, my dad is crying too. I look at James and nod for him to join us. He walks to us and hugs all of us.
After a few minutes, we all let go of each other.
"How is this possible?" My mom asks, cleaning her tears.
"I don't know but please listen. Something is coming. Something big... And purple." I say, looking at them.
They look at me with confused expressions.
