Chapter 38 - Hurt

- 2 hours later -

We land outside of the facility in Siberia.

We get out of the helicopter and enter the facility.

But then, my dad pulls me back and says "I need to talk to you."

"Sure. What's up?" I ask.

"We don't know what's gonna happen in there so, I want you to promise me something..." He says.

"What?" I ask.

"You have to promise me that you're gonna protect your brother and your mom if something happens to me." He says.

I nod.

He nods and we continue to walk inside of the facility.

When we're about to go up some stairs, we hear noises behind us.

We all turn around. Me and Bucky raise our guns and my dad puts his shield in front of him.

Then, we see Tony in his suit opening a door.

"Cap, you seem a little in the defensive." Tony says.

"Well, it's been a long day." My dad says walking to him. Me and Bucky still have our guns raised.

"I know that Barnes is not responsible for the bombing in Vienna. The doctor who was gonna interrogate Barnes was found dead in a hotel. And Ross doesn't even know I'm here and I'd like to keep it that way." Tony says.

"It's good to see you Tony." My dad says.

"You too Cap." Tony says. Then Tony looks at me and Bucky.

"Hey guys, you can put your weapons down okay? I'm here to help." Tony says to me and Bucky.

We put our guns down.

Then, we go to a big room. The lights turn on.

We see 5 glass containers with people persons inside. The others soldiers. But they were all shot in the head.

"If it's any comfort, they died in their sleep." A voice says trough some speakers.

We all look around.

"I'm grateful to them. They brought you here." The voice says.

Then a window on the wall lights up and we see the doctor on the other side. Apparently, his name is Zemo.

My dad throws his shield against the window. The shield comes back to my dad. The window is still intact.

"Please Cap. This window and the walls are made to hold a big explosion." Zemo says.

"I bet I can beat that." Tony says.

"Oh, I'm sure you could Mr. Stark." Zemo says.

"You killed innocent people in Vienna just to bring us here." My dad says getting close to the window.

"I thought about nothing else for over a year. I studied you. I followed you. But now that you're standing here, I just realised... There's a little of green in the blue of your eyes." Zemo says and laughs.

I roll my eyes and go to the window.

"You're Sokovian... Is that what this is about?" I ask Zemo.

"Sokovia was already doomed before you blew it to hell... No... I'm here because I made a promise." Zemo says.

My dad nods and says "You lost someone."

"I lost everyone... And so will you." Zemo says and starts pushing some buttons.
