Chapter 2

I sat next to Eman on the couch. He pulled me in closer with his arms as I snuggled up to him. I traced his tattoo on his right arm.

"Are these angel wings?" I asked.

"I dunno, I'll have to ask my angel right here," he smiled an kissed me on the forehead. He was just too sweet.

"PAULIE!" I yelled ruining the romantic moment,"Can I stay over night?" I asked.

"YEAH WHATEVER JUST TAKE THE SPARE ROOM!" he yelled from the kitchen. Paulie came back from the kitchen and he had a bowl of popcorn.

"Why do you need to stay?" he asked. He grabbed a handful of popcorn and shoved it into his mouth.

"Mum and Dad are fighting again... they didnt even notice I left," I said quietly. I tried to hold back my tears but Emmanuel could see through my act.

"You can cry if you want to..." he whispered in my ear. Feeling safe in his arms I buried my head into his chest as tears slid down my face. Eman hugged me with both his arms and rubbed his hand against my back.

"It's alright, I'm sure your parents will stop fighting soon," Paulie put his hand on my knee.

"It's been going on for 2 weeks now," I cried. I was so afraid of them splitting up.

"Sh, it's okay," Eman pulled me back into his arms. I wept for ages until I pulled back and my makeup had stained his shirt. Makeup was dripping down my face and I looked like a raccoon.

"I look horrible don't I!" I laughed wiping away my tears.

"No way, you look absolutely beautiful," Eman kissed my cheek.

"Is there anywhere I can freshen up?" I asked Paulie.

"Upstairs, second door to the left," Paulie pointed. I went upstairs and opened the bathroom door. I turned the tap on and splashed my face with water. I grabbed a tissue and made it damp. I cleared the makeup on my face. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and went back downstairs.

"Do you think I could call Lenny and ask him to bring some of Jodies stuff over?" Paulie asked me.

"Are you sure?" I asked. that was a little bit much to ask.

"Yeah, I'm sure Jodie won't mind," he hugged me tightly.

"It's okay," I hugged him back. Paulie called Lenny and within 15 minutes Jodie and Lenny came to the door.

"Hey babe, I'm Jodie," Jodie gave me a hug.

"Hey, I'm Bec! Thank you so much for this," I hugged her back. She handed me a supre bag filled with clothes.

"We should be the same size," She smiled. Jodie was so nice!

"Why did you need the stuff?" Lenny asked slipping his hands around Jodies waist.

"Oh... nothing... I'm staying at Paulies for a bit..." I managed to say.

"My parents are fighting... they don't really pay much attention to me," I took a deep breath.

"You know what would make you feel better?" Lenny asked," A MOVIE NIGHT! I'll call all the boys and their girls and we can gather here and get to know you!" He smiled so proudly.

"Sounds great," I smiled.

I was so glad I got on with all the boys.
