Chapter 7

We drove back to the house and I went straight upstairs to my room. I lay down on the bed and cried. The only people I let in were the boys. Eman came into my room and climbed in bed. He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed me lightly. I could feel my body tense up, but I slowly relaxed.

"It's okay, its only me, Emmanuel," He whispered in my ear. My body relaxed even more. I couldn't trust anyone anymore.

"I can't do this anymore... I'm scared! I can't go outside anymore, I can't do it..." I cried.

"Its okay, you've been such a brave girl," Emmanuel gave me a small kiss on the cheek. I let out a weak smile.

"What about when you boys go to rehearsals?! I don't wanna be left alone!" I cried.

"We'll call Jodie," he reassured me.

"Keep me safe," I whispered.

"That's my only duty now," He kissed me softly. I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

Ever since the incident I've been so paranoid. Emmanuel would have to make sure I was safe upstairs. The boys would always come over in the morning. The boys would often do grocery runs for us. I stayed inside most of the time. Paulie had a trampoline in his backyard, but I only went out if the boys went with me. I am so grateful that the boys have been there for me.

"Hey, we have to leave, we've called Jodie and she's on her way. We'll stay until she gets here," Eman kissed my forehead. I gave him a big hug and he rested his chin on my head. There was a knock at the door and Jodie arrived.

"Hey babe! Come on, I'll take good care of you!" Jodie sat on the couch and pulled out a bunch of chick flicks.

"We got a lot of work to do! Come with me to the kitchen, we'll get some food going," She grabbed my hand and we went to the kitchen. We put some popcorn in the microwave and made ourselves spiders.

We got all our food and sprawled it out on the coffee table.

"Which movie first?" Jodie asked me. I pointed to Mean Girls, my all time favorite movie.

All through the movie I couldn't stop laughing.

"You go Glen Coco!" me and Jodie quoted. We looked at each other and laughed. I grabbed a handful of popcorn and shoved it into my mouth. Mean Girls ended and we watched a whole lot more movies. The door sounded and the boys came in.

"Hey guys!" Jodie greeted them. Lenny came over and gave Jodie a kiss.

"Can I have a hug?" Lenny asked. I smiled and I squeezed him.

"Where's my hug?" John asked.

"GROUP HUG!" I yelled. We all came in for a group hug.

"Eugh, you guys are all sweaty and disgusting!" I held my nose to nurse the smell. Eman lifted his pits.

"POWER OF THE MAN STINK!" He laughed.
