Down in Manhattan: Percy (HoH) P.O.V
Percy rested his back against the cool concrete wall of the unleveled building he refuged in, his mother still laid unconscious by the small campfire he had placed. The Fates had given him his actual mother from his own time, the Sally from the time he was in now had been taken up to Olympus for proper treatment. It seemed they wanted to give him someone he could talk to and trust in, for now he didn't trust anyone at Olympus.
The night was warm and thick, the many crevasses that has been opened up to the underworld allowed for the heat that dwelled there to rise up to the mortal earth. Sweat slowly rolled down his face and his sides as his body trying to cool him off in vain. The campfire was making it worse but they needed to be able to see for without the city lights Manhattan was pitch black. Percy sighed and started to finger the dagger in his lap, Annabeth's dagger, the only thing he had of her with him right now. He had only slept for thirty minutes and he guessed that was as much as he was going to get.
"P-Percy?"
Percy slowly looked up and a smile formed on his face, "Hey mom."
Sally sat up and hurried over to her boy, she studied him with tears in her eyes, "W-What happened to you? Where are we?"
Percy bit his lip, "I have a lot of explaining to do."
"Yes you do," She looked down at the dagger in his lap, questioningly.
"It's a long, long story."
"We have a long time, try me." Sally gave him a teary smile and sat down across from him.
Percy smiled and turned, grabbing a box from beside him, "Oh I went adventuring while you were out and I managed to get these if you are hungry."
He opened the box to reveal four rows of blue cookies and helped himself to one. Sally smirked and helped herself to a couple and turned to Percy expectantly. Percy bit his lip, "Where to begin. . ."
"Start with where we are, the last thing I remember is Paul and I were watching a movie on the couch, waiting to hear back from the camp about your whereabouts."
"We are in a destroyed house not too far from the Empire State Building. The Fates decided to give me some company I guess and I had to find a place to take refuge." Percy frowned, "Are you sure you did nothing else? When I found you, you were injured."
Sally frowned, "Not that I can remember. . ."
Percy sighed, that didn't make any sense, what happened between her being with Paul and arriving at this time? He shook his head, they would figure it out later they had enough to deal with as it was.
"Also," Percy smiled sheepishly, "We are kinda five or six years back in time."
His mom raised her eyebrow and slowly nodded, "Something hit you a little too hard over the head this time, don't worry why don't you just lie down and we can find some help for you." She jokingly patted his head to try and check for a bump.
Percy laughed and swatted her hand away, "No, no mom I'm serious. We really are in the past."
Worry entered her eyes, "How is this possible?. . .Are there any other surprises?"
"Long story short, I don't know for what reason but over the course of five or six years each year has come to this time. So there are five or six of every demigod and Olympian in this time. That's all I really know, I don't know how it's possible."
Something occurred to him, did that mean there were five Annabeths up in Olympus right now? Alive and perfectly fine? He wasn't really seeing when he dragged himself up from the underworld, he was blinded by his anger and grief. Overwhelming him to such a degree that he couldn't even see or understand what was around him.
She sighed, "Wow, alright well lastly, what happened to you?" Sally eyed him cautiously as she saw something in his eyes change. They became full of turmoil, darkening as memories invaded his thoughts.
Percy starred at the ground, subconsciously fingering the dagger, shaking every so slightly which Sally took notice of, she placed her hand on his to help him stop trembling, "Percy, isn't that Annabeth's?"
Percy didn't answer right away, but as he answered he ignored her question about the dagger, "Gaea is trying to take over the world and the gods themselves are all jacked up. All I can say is that I am on a quest and while on that quest a lot of. . .stuff has happened."
"Percy, your eyes. . .they look hallow." Sally bit her lip as her eyes became watery once again, "They look broken, Percy."
Percy opened his mouth and hesitated before carefully managing to get the words out, "I fell into Tartarus, mom, with. . .Annabeth." Her name felt weird on his tongue, it was the first time he had said her name after her death.
The next thing he knew Sally tackled him in a hug, "N-No, no that can't be--."
"True? It is."
Percy could feel his sleeve becoming wet and he knew she was crying, but it was what came out of her mouth is what he couldn't handle.
"W-where is she?" Her voice cracked with sorrow and fear, it seemed she already knew the answer to her question but was hoping the best, "W-Where's Annabeth?"
Percy tensed, clutching his jaw to keep himself under control. Sally sensed this and quickly back peddled, "Don't tell me if you can't, just please come back to me. This isn't my Percy."
All Percy heard was the words 'please come back to me' and his mind was no longer with him.
He saw himself cradling Annabeth in the middle of an obsidian stronghold, surrounded by monsters who were trying to stop their escape. Her body limply laid across his lap as he screamed for her to come back to him, almost begging. His mind couldn't process the sight that laid before him. There was blood everywhere, so much blood and grim. Monsters closed in on them and the guards of the stronghold shouted orders from above, they weren't going to make it unless they made a run for it and even then the odds were slim. They were being overwhelmed. He was too injured to carry her body with him, he would have to say good bye.
Percy groaned, breathing in deep but sharp breaths. It was too much, the memory was too much to handle and he was loosing control.
"PERCY!" Sally shouted as her son tore away from her and started running like a deranged animal. She jumped to her feet and ran after him, out of their shelter, "PERSEUS!"
Percy whipped around as a jet of water shot toward Sally, he clenched his fist as the water hit her and threw her into the side of the building. Immediately on impact the water turned to ice, pinning his mother to the stone. Her eyes remained open for a moment but the impact of the blast had knocked her out once again and her head hung limp. Percy starred at her with unfamiliar eyes, he didn't see his mother there, all he could see was his own agony and anger. Those two emotions now ruled his life, controlling him, turning him into a monster. The same one the Olympians and demigods had seen crawling out of that pit like the devil himself. His heart was of stone, there was no love or warmth that dwelled there anymore. As he gazed up at his mother, helplessly frozen to the side of a demolished stone building he felt nothing. No sympathy, no care that she was there and that he had hurt her.
Percy glared angrily at the scene, "If this is what I have become, then this is what shall be."

Hey! Hope you guys continue to like the story, believe it or not I actually have an entire plot that I came up with in two days so I really hope you like it! It has a lot of twists and turns. I will keep you updated with stuff in my book called Author's Notes because it literately a book that I created specifically for that reason. Mainly (I am at fault of this too for I have done this in the past) because a huge pet peeve that I have developed is in books of Wattpad, Fanfiction.net, and other sites that you can write freely on is that authors will put their note or notification as an ENTIRE chapter which I honestly thinks takes away from the book itself because it kinda disrupts the effect or mood. So make sure you pay attention to those updates. Please R&R!
