"How was work?" I asked.
It was September again and you had gotten a job at a bookstore a little while ago.
"Great," you said, absorbed in your food. "I talked to my editor today, The Words We Do Not Say is getting published."
"Oh my God!" I exclaimed. "El, that's so fucking great."
"I know," you said. "Technically, The Words is how we met so I got you an ARC."
You handed me a hardcover book. On the cover was a picture of a notebook.
"I have news," I said. "I got a directing job, for a huge movie. Doll House."
"That's my favourite book," you said.
You jumped into my arms for a hug and wrapped your legs around my waist.
I pressed my lips to yours.
"I'm getting published, and you're finally directing," you said. "Could life get greater?"
"As long as I have you, love, life couldn't be any greater," I said and kissed you again.

After I finished watching the building be demolished I get in my car.
I start driving, heading towards the highway.
"For as long as I had you," I say. "Life couldn't have gotten any greater."
A/N:
Sorry for the late updates, my laptop broke and took almost a month to get fixed.
