"Don’t forget your potions book." He hissed into my ear as he passed, snatching the book from my arms, "Slughorn wouldn’t be best impressed with little Miss Aubrey would he?"

He chuckled a hollow laughed and carried on past me before throwing it over his shoulder into a group of first year girls, I glared daggers at his back before turning around and darting to the group of girls who were already giggling over the smirk he’d sent them as he turned the last corner. Stupid little girls, they wouldn’t stand a chance with him.

I snatched the book from the floor by their feet and glared down at them, "He eats girls like you for breakfast don’t even bother." I snapped and span on my heels, stalking down the stairs and the sickness hit me.

I was jealous, god how can I be jealous over that nasty piece of work?!

"Come one Miss Aubrey, stop day dreaming!" Slughorn smiled pulling the door open for me as I stared at the wooden patterns. "Boy trouble hey, don’t worry a pretty girl like you won’t have them for long."

I raised an eyebrow in his direction, old men are just plain crazy and he’s no exception, I walked to the far left corner and sat on the single desk as usual before I pulled out all my notes, I wonder what we get to do today?

I wrapped the blue scarf around my face later that day, the bitter wind cutting through everyone’s layers, I was amid the crowd of students making their way down to the second quidditch match of the year and it was going to be a good one, Slytherin Vs Gryffindor. Why they hated each other so much no one knows; no one else hated each other like the green and red houses.

I watched as he came out smirking in his brilliantly green robes, I started to think, I didn’t know much about him at all, but it felt like I did.

Regulus Black, brother of Sirius, is the evil brother

Slytherin, from a pureblood family and is related to the psychotic Bellatrix and the lovely Andromeda.

One of Cousin Tom’s servants

Hates my guts

Is strangely kind to me

Has hypnotising, grey eyes.

"Oh it looks like it’s going to be a good one today, Sirius Black subbing for Prewitt while he’s in the hospital wing, both Black’s on the pitch. God save us all." The commentator laughed and I eyed my stalker carefully. He was good looking; I suppose I could have a worse person stalking/bullying me constantly, tall, pushing 6 foot if not over, broad shoulders and a lot of thick hair.

Then the game started, the Gryffindor beaters smashing the hell out of Slytherin, goals were being scored constantly, but neither side were taking the lead, too evenly matched.

"BLACK SEE’S THE SNITCH!" the commentator shouted and everyone’s eyes zoned in on him, the green form shooting around the pitch at break neck speed, but Fenwick was close on his tail. "FENWICK HAS IT! Gryffindor win 650 – 490, sorry guys." He laughed waving to the mass of green at the opposite end of the stands.

Black looked gutted and the rest of the team looked pissed off with him, am I developing Stockholm syndrome? Friggin sounds like it, Slytherin’s deserve what they get especially ones that knock me about for the crack.

"Aubrey, there’s a party in the Gryffindor common room, you coming?" Megan asked as we walked back up to the castle in drips and drabs, I gave her a weak shrug as she pouted at me. "You get to dress up fancy, when do we get to do that?!"

"I don’t really do parties." I mumbled and she sighed in defeat, in truth I didn’t want anyone to feel like they had to protect me from other people there.

"Oh come on, break out of that shell, no Slytherin’s there to break you, we can dance all night." Cass smiled linking her arm through mine as she caught up with me

"Thanks Cass." I smiled giving in, "I’ll give it a go."

"Yes!" Megan cheered, "Dress up time! This is going to be epic."

"Can I borrow those blue shoes of yours; I think they’ll go really well with my denim skirt." Cass asked Megan who laughed and linked her arm through my free arm, marching us towards our common rooms.

--

When I came from the changing room there were only a few stragglers left around the pitch, shouting something about party in the Gryffindor common room, probably started by that douche of a brother of mine. I could see her in the distance, halfway to the castle; I sped up a little to see if I could knock her over once more before I get murdered by Lucuis for missing the snitch.

"Aubrey!" another Ravenclaw called and she turned around, smiling and immediately a list formed in my head;

Her name’s Aubrey

Pureblood and in Ravenclaw

She has a beautiful smile and long dark hair

I despise her.

"No Slytherin’s there to break you, we get to dance all night!" the girl smiled linking her arm through hers.

"Thanks Cass." She smiled and presumably walked up to the castle to go to the party with the other girl. "I’ll give it a go."

A disturbing urge passed through me to see her dance, to see her in a tiny little dress.

"She has friends?" Barty asked walking past her towards me.

"It seems so." I shrugged and he smirked and turned back on himself.

"Sucks about the game, really thought you’d get it."

"Fawcett’s such a tool, he pulled my broom back, but it was all over too fast for anyone to see." I stated angrily as Barty nodded.

"Look at Potter, playing with that snitch." He snarled as we turned a corner and saw The Marauders chatting happily.

"Aren’t you going to congratulate us little brother?" Sirius smirked seeing us first and smirking down at me.

"I would if your seeker hadn’t cheated and pulled my broom back." I spat and he laughed that annoying barking laugh that used to echo the house.

"Such a sore loser brother." He chided patting my head. "I’ve heard you’ve been harassing a girl in Ravenclaw."

"That’s none of your business now is it?" I growled staring back at him, he was still an inch or two taller but I could take him on.

"Well someone thought so else it wouldn’t have reached my ears." He growled back.

"Padfoot, leave it it’s not your battle." The werewolf said putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Listen to the freak." I sneered and walked down the hall Barty had just taken, he knew better than try to intervene when it comes to Sirius. "Go to your freakish party, I’ve heard some whore’s are going to be there tonight."
