Getting the job

(The pictures belong to me) (The girl on the left is Mya the main character who your gonna read as) (The guy is Rigby and he doesn't belong to me but that anime does)

"Mya wake up, it's time to find a job."
I groaned, rolling out of bed. Looking at my best friend who was already dressed for work.
"I'm up Lia, I'm just going to shower and fix my hair up." She nodded and looked at the time,
"Okay but hurry it's already 9 AM. I have to leave now come down to my job to get a coffee and muffin before you go job searching." I smiled at her "thanks Lia, oh and did you find my keys."
She laughed and threw it on my bed, "guess where I found it."
I looked at her confused, "where?"
She started laughing again, "inside the fridge on the cake" she burst out laughing and I laughed along.
"Seriously? Wow wonder how they got there."
She looked at the time again, "well I have to go before I'm late to work, bye see you there."
I nodded and she ran out. I started to get ready for the day wearing my favorite pink sweater and putting my hair in two ponytails with a pink bow.
I looked in the mirror and smiled, "yay I look good, but do I look workable?" I started at myself and laughed.
"I'll totally hire me" I giggled and grabbed my keys off the bed and skipped out the door.
I got in my car and started driving off to the cafe where Lia works.
I got there and got out the car. I walked into the building and like always it was just a few people there.
I seen Lia cleaning the table where a old lady spilled her coffee on while apologizing for it.
"Hey Lia need help?" She looked up and at my outfit and groaned.
"No and why are you dressed so casually, your looking for a job why didn't you dress more proper?"
I shrugged, "because this it me" I started singing the Camp Rock song "This is me".
She laughed and shook her head at me
"Here eat and go now" I laughed, "someone really wants me gone."
She rolled her eyes and smiled "who wouldn't want you gone" she said laughing.
I fake gasp "how rude, people really enjoy my company".
"Hurry now if you wanna get a job"
"Excuse me M'am, I see your looking for a job and I heard their hiring at the park across the street."
The old lady who spilled her coffee said.
"Really, well thank you very much um..." Not knowing her name, while extending my hand to shake hers.
She smiled and reached out and shook my hand "The names Amy" she said smiling.
I smiled back "well thanks Amy, well Lia I should go now" she nodded and hand me my bag with my muffin and my coffee. "Remember what I told you.."
I cut her off "yeah yeah, I know." She rolled her eyes at me and smiled.
"My little girl is growing up" she hugged me tight, "stop, your embarrassing me."
She laughed and let me go while waving me off. "Bye"
"Bye" I said back while getting into my car to drive around to park in the parks parking lot (that's a lot of parks lol).
I got out and walked into the park. I always loved coming to this park it's quite, relaxing and beautiful.
I skipped to a big house like building and looked at it. "Is this where I go" I thought out loud.
"No maybe that's their home" I continued to talk to myself.
"Um excuse me, are you lost?" A guy wearing a suit and top hat said.
I blush with embarrassment knowing I just got caught talking to myself.
"Oh yes, sorry. I was just wondering where I can find a job here, I heard they were hiring."
He smiled wide, "oh joy, I can help. My name is Pops and follow me to Bensons office, he's the boss here."
I smiled wide at him "Thanks Pops my name is Mya by the way." I extended my hand to him.
"Oh how rude am I." He reached his hand out and gripped my hand lightly and shook.
"Here's a lolly for the lady." I smiled, "thanks" he handed me the lollipop and I took it gratefully.
"Well follow me" He started walking into the building but I felt uneasy walking into it because it looked so much like someone's home, and I hated walking into someone's home without permission of the homeowner.
But I guess if Pops is telling me to follow it's not a bad thing.
He lead me to a door that said "Bensons Office" on it.
He knocked and I heard someone say come in.
Pops opened the door and walked in holding it for me to come it.
"Benson this young lady wanted to see if she could get a job working here."
I looked at the Benson guy and he had pink hair and a cute father like face.
He looked at me, "have you ever worked at a park before?"
"Well, I worked at a community service place in a park, cleaning up and doing farm and planting. Plus I enjoy doing hands on work. I also did Building Trades (which is carpentry and electricity work plus plumbing and home stuff all together, if you didn't know) in high school."
I said while turning red embarrassed.
He looked at me and started writing stuff down.
I started feeling nervous and shaky.
"How old are you?"
"I'm 19 and just graduated this year sir"
He smiled at me. "You don't have to call me sir, call me Benson. By the way what's your name?"
I blush, mentally slapping myself for forgetting to tell him my name.
"It's Mya sir..err I mean Benson" I blushed.
" well Mya, you got the job and you can start work today . But not work work, just getting to know the others who work here. Because here we do team work, just in case someone gets hurt then that person has someone to help."
I nod and smiled wide. "Oh thank you sir thank you so much."
He smiled, "well Pops can show you the others and later come back to my office so I can explain what your going to be doing here." I nod and smiled at him before Pops lead me out.
"Oh jolly good show, I'm happy to know your going to work here with us."
I smiled "thanks Pops," he smiled back.
We walked outside and I started drinking my coffee.
"Oh look there's some people you can meet." He smiled and waved at two boys who was just sitting on the ground drinking soda.
"Mordecai, Rigby come meet our new worker, Mya" I waved at them shyly.
They stood up and I looked at them good. The tall one had blue hair, brownies black eyes and light skin while the short guy had brown hair, brown eyes and a tan shin.
" Hey Mya, nice to meet you. We never had a girl working here before but I know you wouldn't have trouble working here." The taller one said.
"Well I'm Mordecai and this is Rigby."
He nudged Rigby, "yeah yeah hi."
I was taken back by the rudeness and couldn't help looking down a little upset.
I notice Mordecai giving him a death glare.
"What? What I do, I said hi what else do you want gosh" he put his hands in the air.
"Well Ridgy I think you hurt her feelings."
Pops said patting my back, "no no it's okay, nice to meet you two. Um Pops can we meet the others?"
I gave him a small smile and he nodded.
I'm just a very sensitive person. Maybe he didn't mean it in a mean way.
I heard Mordecai yelling at Rigby in the background.
"Dude what's your problem?" I felt bad I never meant to get someone mad at someone.
Pops must have notice the look on my face because he stopped and looked at me.
"It's okay Mya, they're fine plus maybe he was having a bad day. Those two are the nicest guys you'll meet."
I smiled at that "thanks and sorry"
"Don't be sorry there's nothing to be sorry about. Now let's meet Skips."
