Settling in (╭ರᴥ•́)

Mya POV
Me and Lia all night we're packing up. When Mordecai and Skips came I realized it was morning. I didn't get any sleep that whole time.
Mordecai helped me in my new room where I quickly fell asleep. I woke up when Lia started shaking me. "Hey you know you still have to work today." I groaned, getting up anyway. "I forgot, oh well." I got dressed in comfy clothes and headed to the bathroom to wash my face.
"Good afternoon Mya. How was your nap?" Pops said popping his head through the opened bathroom door making me jump. "oh gosh pops you scared the begezzees out of me." I said holding my chest. (Yes begezzees because why not). "Oh, I am so sorry." I smiled at pops and shook my head. "Don't worry pops, but good afternoon and I had a nice nap." He smiled and headed off.
I went downstairs where Benson was already talking to everyone. "Hey Mya, good to see you joining us." Benson said, probably a little annoyed I came down late. "Sorry Benson, I didn't get any sleep last night from moving out. I won't be late again." I apologized while scratching the back of my neck. Benson shrugged and pointed to a open seat. I sat down and listened to what he had to say.
Apparently there is going to be a small picnic event today, that we can't stay but only set up. There's going to be a park inspection next week. And I'm on shop duty this week. Well that's not so bad. But I really want to see the picnic event. I never went to one it seems cool, but we can only set up which sucks. When Benson was done talking we all went out to start helping move things. I was so tired but I was trying to pick up the least heavy things. "Hey Mya, help me with this table?" I nodded at Mordecai and ran over to help lift and move the table. It wasn't heavy but at one point I lost my footing and fell backwards. The table hit me right in the rib and I whimpered.
"Mya!" Mordecai yelled pulling the table off me. I waved my hand "I'm fine, I'm fine. No major injuries, let's just finish moving the table." I got up dusting myself off. At least no one else saw, or so I thought. "Nasty fall you had there, maybe we should check on it?" I cringed at the voice. Of course it had to be Eric, one person I was hoping just disappeared.
"Leave right now. This is my work area and you're invading." I growled. "Babe, this is a public park. Plus I'm hosting the picnic that you're setting up." Eric said with a cheeky smile. Oh how I wanted to smack that look right off his face. "Well then go to the picnic area and wait." Mordecai said crossing his arm. "Oh is he your new boyfriend, what happened to the short one?" I rolled my eyes. There is no way he knew I was hanging out with Rigby before. Couldn't have, because the day he showed up no one said anything to him.
"I don't have a boyfriend and I don't want one. And the "short one" is a employee here at the park too." I pushed passed him dragging the table with me. "Not what I saw. I saw you went out with the short guy to you dads restaurant, then saw you two went to the arcade. What you're going on dates with everyone you work with." At this point everyone was near because we made it to the picnic area. "Hey man, if you have a problem with one of the employees talk to the manager but don't harass her at work. Now beat it or I'll make you leave." Skips said standing tall in front of him.
"No problems here sir, just having a conversation with a old pal of mine. I'll be back when the picnic is ready." He turned towards me with a wink and walked off. The nerves of that guy, like really he's being a creep. He was never like this. Well of course I never thought he'll be the way he was when we dated but still.
I sighed and walked away to the shop where benson wanted me to set up. While walking away I heard Rigby question what Eric said about seeing me and Mordecai at the arcades. I paused for a second. Did Mordecai not tell him we hanged out? Is he embarrassed that he hung out with me? I sighed once again walking away.
After my shift was over I rushed over to the house. Lia should already be here since today she was off work. I came into our new room, most of our stuff was unpacked but it looked like she fell asleep half way through. I finished the rest then sat down with a book. Maybe moving in wasn't a good idea.
