Chapter 4

You turn around and see something you never thought you'd ever see! You see Logan running at you, full speed, holding a pocket knife! This son of a bitch is going to kill you! You look for somewhere to run but only see a forest and a fence. Which is safer? A forest where no one will ever find you if you die? Or the fence which is a possible camera location. You don't know what to do at this point and almost at the suicidal point of depression, so you go for the fence. He catches up to you and pushes you against the fence. Before you can fall to the ground, he catches you by the waist and throws you again. Right on the cuts! Ouch. Then he starts yelling at you.

"YOU THINK YOU CAN GO AND CHEAT ON ME? HUH? I SAW EVERY LITTLE BIT OF THAT LITTLE 'MOMENT' WITH DAN THIS MORNING!!" He screams. You knew he was abusive but not physically!

"I'm sorry! I swear we aren't together! It was a prank! I thought you would get it! I'm, so... sorry!" You sob while being kicked by your either ex or your boyfriend. You weren't sure how he would react if we broke up with him.

He then picks you back up and you feel pain spread acrossyour cheek and your mouth. He had just punched you!

He finally got distracted at a teacher walking out and let you go. You ran home to find your house still empty. Perfect! You go and collapse in the bathroom floor and pull out your blades, and well, you know the drill.

Suddenly, you get a text from Shelby.

Shelby: Hey! Can I come over in a few? Its friday after all ;)

You: Uhh sure come on over.

Why does she half to come now?! She comes over and you realize its for your science project! You two work on that for a while before she has to leave. How did she not freak out over the huge bruise on your face? And the scratches from where he almost stabbed you? But you forget about it and call Dan and ask him to come over. You need to distract yourself.

He comes over and you talk about everything basically. About 5 minutes after he gets there he stops talking and looks at you with a huge concern.

"(y/n), what happened after school?" He politely asked.

Shit!

"Well nothing except Shelby came over and we worked on out project." You say, half lying.

"Did you fall and land on you hand really hard on the way out?"

"No, why?"

"Well, there seems to be a huge hand or fist shaped bruise on your face. Who did this to you? I swear I will kill them!"

That's when you just lost it! You started crying and Dan, being the sweet and loving person he is, comes over qnd starts comforting you, and telling you words to cheer you up. You tell him the truth, in big detail. You can tell by the look on his face that hes furious.

"You broke up with him, right?" Dan asked, concerned.

"Not yet but I'm going to." You reply.

"This son of a bitch is gonna pay for what he did to you!"

Without giving you time to reply, he hugs you, says goodbye, and storms out of the apartment.

About an hour later, you have your phone in the bathroom while self-harming on your wrists this time, you get a text. From Logan. You had a pretty large wristband collection so you could still wear short sleeves. You got hot very easily. But the text said, "Hey. Sorry about today. Me and the group had been drinking that morning and I was still drunk. We don't need to date anymore obviously, but if you still wanna be friends hmu!"

You replied with, "Yeah we are done. But we can still be friends but idk if we can still be so close. Will have to work up to that again."

You could get your shot at Dan now!
