"No! Feel the turns in the river. Feel your emotion. Don't fight it, relax and let you emotions control what happens," Riverstar yowls at Lightningstorm.

I feel really angry at you, Riverstar, thought Lightningstorm.

Just then the water hit Riverstar.

"Oh, it's on,"he said as he aimed at Lightningstorm.

Lightningstorm awoke. She was soaking wet. Starlingkit had healed and today they were heading home.

"Mama, go dry off!" Pleaded Starlingkit.

She was six moons today. Airstar arranged for the kits to be made apprentices the second Lightningstorm got back. Ok, maybe not the second, Lightningstorm wanted to talk about who their mentors would be.

"Mama, I want to stay in Riverclan," Starlingkit blurted out.

"Are... Are you certain?"

"I don't want to go home."

"And yet you still describe it as home," Lightningstorm pointed out.

"It still is officially. But I also describe Antkit, Sootkit, and Shellkit as my brothers," Starlingkit mewed shyly.

"Do you really wish to stay?"

"I love the feel of water against my pelt. I love the taste of salmon. I love it here," Starlingkit said. "I talked to Creekstar. She said if it was ok with you I could become an apprentice before you leave."

"It is ok," Lightningstorm mumbled.

"Starlingkit, from this moment on you will be Starlingpaw. Your mentor will be Slumbernoise. Antkit, from this moment on you will be Antpaw. Your mentor will be Darkfoot. Sootkit, from this moment on you will be Sootpaw. Lilypool will be your mentor. Shellkit from this moment on you will be Shellpaw. I will be your mentor," yowled Creekstar.

Lightningstorm congratulated the new apprentices and left. As soon as she was out of sight she cried.

"Can Blazeflight mentor one of them," Lightningstorm asked Airstar.

"He's retiring soon. What about Snowshine. By the way Snowpaw and Goosepaw became warriors," mewed Airstar.

"Ok, what about Moonspirit. Man, it's good to be back," Lightningstorm sat down looking at her clan.

"Ok, so so far we have Blazeflight, I guess he retire after one more apprentice. Snowshine, and Moonspirit. I'll pick the rest. Go talk to your kits."

Lightningstorm ran to her kits.

"Lightningstorm!" They shouted.

Lightningstorm smiled, but her heart hurt knowing they used to call her mama.

Lightningstorm explained to them about Starlingkit's choice. (Man, that sounds like a super edition title)

Sunsetkit didn't pay attention at all and kept slashing a tree, Elementalkit talked about how she was becoming a medicine cat apprentice. Cougarkit practiced battle moves in front of Lightningstorm, and Celestialkit stalked one of the warriors silently.

"Their so independent," Lightningstorm mumbled.

"All cats old enough to roam in the moonlit forests gather before Highbranch."
