Chapter 6 ~ Three Bands Later…

Mr. Gold gave an exasperated sigh at Andy and I. It had been a year, we had gone through two bands, and being assigned one more and it was our last shot. This time it wasn’t only Andy and I, a faithful member we still had was leaning on me, I was his armrest and he smiled at me devilishly.

An Ashley Purdy was our faithful bassist. He was close with Andy and I and we adored him. He loved us and the message in our music, he was the only one that did. Ashley had three tattoos, long black hair, and always wore black eyeliner and eye shadow. He dressed the same as Andy and I in our decked out rocker look. He had a fun playful attitude that matched his light voice and he had a dazzling smile.

Andy had long shoulder length hair that I adored and wore more eye shadow and eyeliner like Ashley, he had a tuft of blonde hair in his bangs and he had started smoking sadly and was hooked on it. Also sadly, I was hooked too. He had three tattoos of random picking, one of Batman, and others even I didn’t get as well, but had meaning to him. Andy was taller as well, and his voice hadn’t changed, but he’d learned to scream even better than before, and had begun to go by ‘Andy Sixx’ as we were actual friends with our favorite bands Montley Crue and Kiss.

I was different as well. Adopted the thick rocker image, I had chains on my jeans and leather jackets as always. I had my classic cowboy boots that both Andy and Ashley wore also and I myself had gotten paler, and into black makeup.

“Mr. Gold, we know the hastle we’ve given you, but we have some major fans out there, we just need a band that plays our music.” I said.

“Well, Black Veil Brides is pretty popular; alright this is your last shot.” Mr. Gold said, getting many thankful replied from all three of us.

He opened up his desk and shuffled around and pulled out three cards. “Give these fine three a call, they will be fantastic in your band.” Mr. Gold said and shooed us out of his office and back into the elevator for his next meeting. Ashley and Andy pressed me for names and I smiled.

“Jinxx, Jake Pitts, and Sandra Alvarenga. I think this is it guys.” I smile looking up at the boys and smiling.

“Awesome!” Ashley laughed and we all hugged.

“He looks like a lion.” Jake Pitts said as I led them over to a table in a restaurant we were meeting at.

I laughed. “He does!” Jake meaning Andy who had maybe over-teased his hair and was talking with Ashley as he doodled on his little kids menu.

Jinxx smiled at them and laughed, they seemed to fit in already. Sandra was the only quiet one, she wore sunglasses, refusing to take them off she looked like a guy and was very shy.

Through the dinner the four guys all acted like nerds in scary men costumes and I tried to talk to Sandra about her drumming, soon the dinner was over and we all walked outside together.

“So what do you say guys, do you want to join Black Veil Brides?” I ask with a smile.

The three invited think a moment, Jinxx being the first to nod, a shy Jake Pitts nodded and all the attention was on Sandra as she bit her lip, playing with a lip pericing like Andy does when he’s nervous.

“Yeah, you guys are cool.” Sandra smiled.

We all smiled and thanked everyone, splitting up I sat in the passenger seat next to Andy and looked at him.

“We’re doing it!” I smiled.

“And not to mention, we’re due in the studio next week to make our first single… Knives and Pens.”

I shriek and hug Andy. “We’re going to make it!” I say with a smile as Andy starts up the car and pulls away.
