AS SOON AS we entered the school building, I grabbed Pony by his wrist and slammed him into the wall of the janitor's closet. I closed the door and glanced at the expression on his face. He looked terrified. I gave him a light smile. "We need to talk."
He furrowed his eyebrows. "In a janitor's closet?!"
"It's important." I spoke while sitting on top of a bucket. Pony nodded his head and slid down the wall onto the floor. "Well, since it's so important, tell me."
"You like Cherry." I remarked.
"Is this about what happened at the Nightly Double, Kip? If it is, then I'm sorry. And I mean it." He replied with a serious look on his face.
"Is it true that you only stood up for me because you felt bad for me?" I questioned, my voice came out as a whisper.
"Kieran, you know that I care about you so much. I helped you that day because that's just the person I am. Hell, I would've done it if Bob was bullying a Soc. It's not because I felt bad for you. I didn't even know who you were when I saved you." He explained and I bit my lip.
"You like Cherry."
He sighed. "Are you serious?"
"Ponyboy," I laughed and stood up, "just tell me if you have feelings for her! It's pretty obvious if you ask me!"
"Fine!" He yelled and stood up with me. Our faces were centimeters away from each other. "We're in a triangle." I whispered.
"What?" He scoffed. "Kieran, if you're talking about a love triangle, then that would mean you have feelings for me too...." He trailed and looked up at me.
I sighed. "I have feelings for you, Pony. Okay? And that picture you have is the same one my grandma drew when my parents were in a love triangle with Dale."
"Wait, your parents were in a love triangle with, Dale? I got this picture from him." Pony exclaimed and rubbed his forehead, clearly irritated.
"I know. I guess Dale must've gotten it from my grandma, and then gave it to you. My grandma told me that I was the girl on the left in the picture and that the picture would always find its way back to me. I never believed her... until now." I groaned and ran my fingers through my hair.
"So you're tellin' me that I'm in a love triangle with you and Cherry?" Pony furrowed his eyebrows and once I nodded his jaw dropped. "I've never had two girls fight over me. Bonus is y'all are both gorgeous."
"I would've taken that as a compliment, except you called Cherry beautiful too." I rolled my eyes which caused Pony to laugh. I opened the door and walked to Mr. Stilinski's class. Luckily, there'd be no students in there even if I am late. It's Friday so we skip 1st period and have free time in the gym.
I entered his classroom and when he saw me, he raised his eyebrows. "You're always in here earlier. Were you in the gym?"
I shook my head. "No, just in a triangle."
