It had been two long weeks since I had shot the clown and I was finally cleared for work. We had left Brooke with Pops so me and Bones could work.
"So, you ever been here before?" I ask Bones at the crime scene.
"No," he says.
"I don't mean here here, I mean Baltimore." I clarified.
"Yeah, I've given several lectures to the Baltimore Homicide Division." He replied.
"Ah, God." I said rubbing my jaw.
"What's wrong with your mouth?" Bones asks concerned.
I move away from his hands.
"I got a tooth situation." I answered like it was nothing.
"Go to the dentist." Bones replied shortly.
"I will...if it doesn't get any better." I said. "Man."
"Are you afraid of the dentist?" Bones asks me.
"I'm not afraid." I said as we entered the crime scene.
"This is actually federal training project, which is why we called you. K-9 was using it for an exercise and one of the dogs went bezerk. Dug up the cement," the officer told us but Bones cut him off.
"No that's concrete. Cement is an ingredient in concrete." He explained.
"Yeah that's a real important distinction to make. What do we got Bones? Huh, do your thing." I said.
"Nothing." He said after a minute looking at the face.
"Nothing, got it..." I say distracted. "Wait, nothing?"
"Yeah. I can't see enough of the skull, the tibia, the pelvis. Nothing." He explained and started to walk away.
"Nothing? Wait a sec, sorry" I added to officers. "We drive all the way here so you could just tell me nothing? Alright, so what do you want me do? Get the whole slab of cement-" I ask incredulously.
"Concrete." He corrected.
"Concrete, whatever, shipped back to the Jeffersonian?" I ask walking after Bones.
"Yes." He said then looked at me. "Yes."
Four hours later we were back in New York and I went to the FBI building to find leads but went back to the Jeffersonian when I came up with nothing.
"So, did you talk to your dad at all?" I ask.
"No why would I?" He said as if it was obvious.
"No reason. So I guess it's safe to say that your still fighting then. Ah." I concluded then rubbed my jaw in pain.
"Go to a dentist." Bones said.
"I will if it doesn't get any better." I said rubbing my jaw.
"Based on the decomposition of the track suit, Hodgins is estimating a post mortem interval of two years. Based on bone deterioration, I like three years." Zach said as we approached.
"Well what killed him?" I ask holding my jaw.
"Uh, victim was dead shortly after this hole was punched into his skull." He answered.
"To small for a projectile." Bones said looking at me.
"No radiating stress lines." Zach added.
"Slow entry. A piercing wound." Bones said.
"My god." I said in realization then turned to Zach. "Like a screw driver? Nail Gun? Ice pick?"
"Yes. Something along those lines." He answered.
I pulled out my phone.
"Did it pierce the brain?" I ask Bones.
"Depends how far it penetrated." He said.
"Yeah it's Reagan. I need all murders in which a wound in the back of the head was penetrated. Ok, thanks." I say then hang up the phone.
A few hours later Bones was in my office.
"I think the murder weapon is an ice pick. Angela did a facial reconstruction of cement head-" Bones cut me off.
"Concrete Head you mean." He corrected.
"No," I said making a face. "Cement head has a nicer ring. So I ran it through interplus and got a match."
"William Raymond 'Billy Ray' McKenna. Assault, manslaughter, kidnapping...torture." He said reading the file I gave him.
"This here," I said showing her a picture of a man. "This here, is Hugh Kennedy. Uh, I think he killed Cement Head."
"Why?" He asks eyeing the picture.
"Well, West Virginia, likes to use an ice pick on his victims, plus Ice Pick and Cement Head were both employed by regional crime boss in West Virginia named Gallagher." I said drawing an outline while I was explaining then gave him Gallagher's picture.
"Well what are we going to call him?" Bones asks point at Gallagher's picture.
"Gallagher." I said as if it was obvious. "Well he runs most of the uh, prostitutes, strippers, gambling, bootlegging, meth, and extortion in West Virginia."
"5 years ago the West Virginia state police began pressuring Gallagher's criminal operation making a lot of arrests." Bones said reading Gallagher's file.
"Including Ice Pick and Cement Head. Cement Head goes to jail, Ice Pick out on bail, babe." I said pointing at the chart I drew.
"You say that like it means something." He said.
"Well I spoke to the officer in charge and he said that Ice Pick wouldn't say anything so he punished him by letting him out on bail." I explained.
"How is bail punishment?" He ask confused.
"Because it makes Gallagher think that Ice Pick cooperated with the cops." I explained. "Aw, it's criminal phycology Bones, you wouldn't get it. Just read, just continue reading." I said after seeing his confused face.
"Half a million dollar bond, Kennedy jumped bail, killed in a car accident while fleeing a bail fugitive recovery agent." He read.
"Bounty hunter." I said pointing at him.
"Car burned the remains to ashes." He read.
"All they got was a severed leg, they didn't actually get Ice Picks body." I said.
"So are we going to talk to the Bounty Hunter?" He asks.
"No, I am. You're going to make sure that that severed leg, actually belonged to Ice Pick." I instructed him.
"Someone kept the leg?" He asked incredulously.
"The severed leg was frozen as evidence." I answered.
"So you think Ice Pick might still be alive." He said looking at me.
"As a friend of mine likes to say 'don't jump to conclusions until all the evidence is in.'" I said quoting him.
"If the facts are in then it's not jumping to conclusions." He argued. "So I never said that."
"I never said that the friend was you." I replied grabbing my coat then gave him a kiss and left my office.
I went to the Royal Diner where I was meeting the Bounty Hunter. I ordered oatmeal so it didn't hurt my tooth. I was reading the paper while I waited.
All the sudden a woman sat down across from me.
I swallowed my bite and was about to say something to her before she spoke.
"I'm the bounty hunter you wanted to speak to, Valesca Miller." She said and tossed her badge on the table and took my coffee. "You want to know what Kennedy's like?"
"Anything you want to tell me outside the official report, that's great." I commented.
"Sure. How I smelled his body cooking over the fire. Otherwise I stand by the record." She said.
"How did you find him?" I ask.
"Just from someone I know who finds fugitives." She answered. "Tailed him, he made me, he took off. Boom. I found his leg about 30 yards from the vehicle."
"And you saw him burn?" I ask suspicious.
"Yeah, why?" She asks me.
I picked up the paper and start reading it again.
"That's it?" She asks upset that I wasn't giving her more information.
"That's it." I agreed with her.
"I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping you would keep me here a while, ask me some dumbass federal questions. Check me out." She said with a smirk.
"How about I buy you breakfast?" I say trying to be nice.
"A girl like you must be going crazy in the FBI." She said.
"What kind of girl is that exactly?" I ask.
"I'm a bounty hunter, sport. I read people fast or I die. You are not standard government issue. Take a walk on the wild side. We have more fun, fewer rules, and a hell of a lot more money." She said.
I leaned forward and put my elbows on the table.
"You know, you make a compelling case." I said then my phone rang.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and put it to my ear.
"Reagan." I answer.
'Coroners report said that Kennedy's leg was severed in the car accident.' Cam said.
"We don't call him Kennedy, we call him Ice Pick." Bones corrected.
"Just hold on for one second, sorry." I told the bounty hunter and moved to the bar. "Ah, listen I got the bounty hunter here, she was an eye witness to the crash. Saw him incinerate. Ah." I said rubbing my jaw.
'Tell Reagan that Ice Picks femur is sliced cleanly at 90 degrees.' Bones says.
"I can hear you, Bones ok. That's a speaker phone. Look an amputation like that could happen in a bad wreck can't it?" I ask.
'Yes,' Cam says.
'They're cerf marks.' Bones added.
'Seeing evidence of a saw Reagan.' Cam agreed
"I know what cerf marks are." I said.
'Reagan should arrest the bounty hunter.' Bones said.
"I can hear you Bones. What am I going to arrest her for, huh?" I ask him.
'For lying, for purgery, for aiding and embedding in a cover up.' He said.
'If she's there just take her.' Cam agreed.
I turned around and saw the bounty hunter was gone I walked over to the window and saw her wave to me from her car and drove away.
"Ok. I'll let you know how that works out." I said and hung up watching the bounty hunter leave.
I went to the Jeffersonian after I finished breakfast and right before I enter I got a phone call from Danny.
"Reagan?" I answer.
'Hey sis, I was told to remind you that it was your turn to bring meat for dinner tomorrow.' Danny said through the phone and I sighed.
"I completely forgot. We have Sunday dinner tomorrow." I said.
'How many of these things have you been to and you still forget every week.' Danny says.
"Ok, ok. I can do that. I can bring the meat. I'll go to the store and pick some up tonight after I get off." I said.
'You working on a case?' He asks me.
"Yeah I caught one. What about you? Any new cases?" I ask.
'All the time. Well I guess I will let you go Nancy Drew.' He said.
"I'll only be Nancy Drew if that makes you Sherlock Holmes." I said and heard him laugh on the other end.
'Deal.' He said
"Ok. I love you Sherlock." I said.
'I love you too Nancy.' I heard then hung up and walked in.
"Look at that the DNA is a match." I said and Bones came over and flipped the folder so I was looking at it the right way.
"State troopers said they got a DNA sample at Ice Picks arrest. This is definitely his leg." Cam said. "Was she nice?"
"Ice Pick is a male." Bones said.
"I mean the bounty hunter that gave Reagan the slip." Cam clarified.
"She didn't get away because she was nice." I argued.
"She was nice wasn't she?" Bones asked teasing me.
"No, God uh-" I stopped defending myself to rub my jaw.
"What's wrong with your mouth?" Cam asks.
"I'm guessing the interior" he reached for my face but I pushed his hand away. "molar on the left side is infected. The leg was surgically amputated." Bones said while I rubbed my jaw.
"Go to the dentist." Cam said.
"She's afraid of the dentist. These cerf marks are consistent with a type of wire saw used to remove horns from Heffers." Bones said
"Ah, so Ice Pick and his bounty hunter set up the car accident with a dummy victim so everyone stops looking for him." I said.
"Two years later he kills con..." He stops himself and takes a breath. "Cement Head."
"She hoodwinked you because she was bestie material." Cam says.
"Alright, look. She wasn't bestie material, I think she was actually more interested in me." I said.
"The amputation was probably performed by a livestock veterinarian." Bones stated.
Bones wanted to talk to me in his office.
"Reagan, a live stock amputation, that's one determined criminal. Be careful." Cam said and I nodded.
Bones and I went to his office where he closed the door and pushed me against the only non glass wall and kissed me. We continued that until I pulled away.
"Ah. God." I said and rubbed my jaw.
"Let me look at your tooth." He said.
"Alright, just go easy. You promise?" I ask him.
"Ok." He agreed
"Alright." I sighed.
"Open up." He said and I did so and he grabbed my jaw lightly.
"Uh ha t uh ah uh or oof uh as enoyen ur acitys." I said incoherent garble.
"What?" Bones asks letting my jaw go.
"I said, it's too bad I have a sore tooth, I was quite enjoying our other activities." I restated clearer.
"Well we can do our other activities when it doesn't cause you pain." He said grabbing my jaw again.
He put his finger in my mouth and I felt pain surge where he was pressing.
"Ah, ah." I protested pulling his hands away.
"I was right. Interior molar left side is infected." He said
"You know it's really rude to tease someone in pain." I said. "Ow."
My phone went off.
"Look at that. Our small town crime boss is here." I said to Bones. "Let's go have a little chat with him, shall we?"
"The last time I saw Billy Ray McKenna he was so long suckering me from his F150, heading on a well earned vacation." Gallagher said.
"Well earned by torturing a journalist who was talking to much." I said shooting a finger gun.
"I resent you inference." Gallagher replied. "Get them my uh, whatcha call it? Tax papers, employment records? Did I get that right?" He asks his lawyer.
"Not quite." He said with a British accent. "You resent her implication. She is implying that your a criminal. Your taking the inference from her implication."
The lawyer hands me a pile of papers and I toss them over to Bones to look at.
"Uh, according to this Mr. Lightner is your flight instructor." Bones said reading the pile of papers.
"That is correct. I have a wide range in enterprises. Clark here is helpful in getting me where I got to get." Gallagher answered.
"And William Raymond McKenna is down as a media liazone." Bones said after a moment.
"Yep. By breaking journalists fingers." I impute. "You know you never asked me about Billy Ray McKenna there, Big Dog."
Gallagher laughs as I sat down in front of him.
"Well, I assume Big Dog that Billy Ray is deceased." He replied.
"Why?" Bones asks.
"He was a valued employee, disappears for 3 years. I gotta assume the worst." He answered.
"His body was found encased in concrete." Bones said.
"Tell you what we're gonna claim his remains, bury him properly." Gallagher told his lawyer.
"Where did you send him on vacation?" I ask looking at him.
"Canada." He answered.
"Canada." I repeat.
"Was it the uh, Canadians that found him encased in the cement?" He asks.
"Concrete." The lawyer corrected.
"Huh." Gallagher asked confused.
"Not cement, common error." The lawyer replied.
"Baltimore police." I answered his last question.
"Is Baltimore on the way to Canada?" Gallagher asks his lawyer.
"Well the most efficient route is up through Detroit, but Billy Ray how he loved the traveling." He answered.
"Do you have any idea who might want to kill Mr. McKenna?" Bones asked.
Gallagher chuckled.
"Well uh, yeah. He uh, how would you put it?" He asked his lawyer.
"Aggressive. Both socially and sexually." The lawyer answered.
"How about Hugh Kennedy?" I ask.
The smile disappears from Gallagher's face.
"Hugh Kennedy?" He asks.
"Yeah. Handy with an ice pick." I said smirking at him.
"According to this, you hired him as a liqueur license consultant on your bergs des bases." Bones said.
"Yes, yes. I remember taciturn type. Very dower." The lawyer answered.
"Right. Got off murder once, manslaughter twice, and suspect in 4 unsolved murders all involving...ice picks." I paused for dramatics.
"You know good old Hugh did not put none of that on his resume." Gallagher said with a smile.
I smile back.
"If I recall, Mr. Kennedy was killed in a car accident while fleeing a bail enforcement officer." The lawyer pointed out.
"Yes, just got burned up." Gallagher pitched in.
I looked over at Bones and we made eye contact.
"Well, if you guys are ever in West Virginia looking for something we're at Snackys road house and grill." Gallagher said standing.
"When 119 hits the 64." The lawyer said.
"I'll make a note of that." I said and smiled at Bones.
"119 hits the.." I said but forgot the last part.
"64." He said and I nodded.
"64." I repeated.
I had heard from Bones dad that Ice Pick was obsessed with planes so I drove back to Baltimore to look at the plane hang out and see if I saw Ice Pick. I was sitting in my car on the phone with Zach and Bones.
"Well I got to tell you, you're right Zach. Every model airplane freak from Baltimore is here." I said into the phone.
"We prefer the term pilots." He said back.
"Yeah, ok. So you're into this stuff to, huh?" I ask him.
"Forensic Anthropology is only one of my doctor it's. My other is in applied engineering. I'm extremely adept to practical Argonauts." He replied.
"Do you see Ice Pick?" Bones asks.
"A lot of these guys are kinda old." I said looking out the window. "They're wearing those sunglasses that wrap around they're head." I add chuckling.
"Well, how many of them only have one leg?" Bones questions.
"I don't know. Half of them are sitting down." I said. "Ok, how am I going to get them to stand up?" I ask.
"Crashes bring everybody to there feet." Zach said.
"Shoot down one of the planes." Bones said.
"Yeah, that's great. And next thing you know I'm being evaluated by my shrink again. That's not going to happen. Especially since this is my first day back." I said.
"Drive onto the field." Zach said.
"What?" I ask wondering if I heard him right.
"Put your car where they like to land. Everyone will stand up and yell at you." He replied.
I huff.
"This better work." I said shifting to drive. "Stay with me here."
I started driving slowly then gradually sped up.
"Oops." I said when I almost hit a plane.
"Look at that, it seems to be working." I say after I see everyone stand up and yell at me.
I laugh.
"Ooh, they're mad." I said.
"Do you see him?" Bones asked.
"They're all wearing long pants." I replied. "I mean how am I going to tell which of them are wearing a prosthetic?"
"The prosthetic will cause a slightly unnatural alignment of the spine, which will result in a compensating adjustment of the-" Zach spoke in gibberish before Bones cut him off.
"Reagan, the instinct would be for these men to step towards you. One man will be standing perfectly still." Bones explained an I looked for someone who was standing still.
"Ok," I said looking at a man who was standing completely still. "Yup, I got him." I said and hung up.
"Sorry, I apologize. Just passing through." I said to the people as I drove off the field.
I follow Ice Pick to his apartment building and wait for him to go inside.
After a few minutes I walk inside and see a desk man looking down.
I walk up to him an pull out my badge.
I put it over what he was reading and he looks up and I show him my badge.
"What the hell?" He asks when he stands up.
"I'm gonna need his room number." I told him.
He gives me the room number and I pull out my gun after I get in the right floor an start walking to the apartment.
I get to the right door and I look at it.
"Maybe I can help you." I hear from behind me.
I turn then everything goes black.
I woke up and I was burritoed by the rug. It had duct tape going around it.
"What did you hit me with?" I ask him. "I only ask because my tooth, it doesn't hurt anymore. You know you're the first guy to get the drop in me in 5 years." I told the man.
"I used to get that a lot." He answered me.
"Can I ask you a question?" I ask.
"As long you answer one for me." He answered while packing.
"What happened to you three years ago? Huh, what's your story?" I ask curiously.
"Billy Ray got in the back of me cab, I don't know which of us was more shocked, but must have been Billy Ray because he's the one that ended up dead." He said and turned on the tv.
"Hey, what's your question?" I ask.
He grabbed his bag and walked over to the bed I was on.
"How did you people find him under all that cement?" He asks.
"Dog." I say and laugh then stop.
"Dog aye?" He asks.
"Yeah." I said and nodded feeling a bit loopy like I have a concussion.
"So why am I not dead?" I ask smiling a bit.
"I never killed nobody for fun, it was the job." He answered. "And I'm retired. Now listen, I know you fella get in trouble if you lose your gun."
He took out the clip and set my gun next to me on the bed.
"I'm taking the bullets though, if you don't mind." He said.
"Woah," I said and threw my head back making the world spin. "What about me?" I ask.
"Settle down, settle down. Relax." He said as shoves a rag in my mouth.
"Ah" I trued to fight him but he grabbed my jaw and the world was spinning again.
"Someone will find you." He said and tapped my cheek before piling up his bag.
"Ah, oh ne da oy." I tried to protest.
"You have a good day now." He said walking away.
I tried to protest while he was walking out but I heard the door shut.
I tried to sit up and ended up rolling onto the floor.
I had passed out for an immeasurable amount of time before I was awoken by someone pushing me over with their foot.
"Ah fu" I said but it was muffled by the rag.
I looked up and I saw Gallagher with a gun and his lawyer Clark Lightner.
"I'm afraid that's not Hugh Kennedy." Lightner said.
"What's that called when they wrap a sausage in a pancake?" Gallagher asks.
"Ig n uh banket." I said.
Lightner nodded.
"Pigs in a blanket." He said.
Gallagher takes the rag out my mouth and I spit out the fuzz in my mouth.
"Now, how'd you get here?" Gallagher asks looking at my bloodstained rag then threw it on the bed.
"How'd you get here?" I reciprocate.
"Billy Ray was killed with an ice pick in Baltimore. Asked around." He answered.
"Was it Hugh Kennedy that bundled you up in that carpet?" Lightner asks.
"Look I can't discuss on going investigations with civilians, so why don't you just cut me out. Hey, what are you doing with my gun? Put that down." I said and for the second time that day everything went black.
Once again when I gained consciousness I was tied up, but this time to a chair.
I tried to get out of my restraints and then Lightner and Gallagher walked in.
Gallagher walked up to me.
"Did you see Kennedy?" He asks and I stay silent.
Punch. My head snaps to the side and I still don't say anything.
Punch.
Punch.
Punch.
I had blood in my mouth and running out of my nose.
That had gone on for a hour before Lightner spoke.
"Maybe she didn't see Kennedy." He said going through my purse.
"Yeah? How did you come to that thought?" Gallagher asks.
"Mostly the fact that she doesn't have an ice pick protruding from her head." He said.
Gallagher walked back up to me.
"This one simple question, Big Dog." He said and I stared past him. "Did you see Kennedy?"
"We could and get an ice pick, make it look like Kennedy killed her." Lightner said.
"You know we can't let you live, right?" Gallagher asks.
"You've been struck, restrained, and technically kidnapped. And kidnapping a federal agent is as bad as murdering them these days." Lightner added and I was still staring past Gallagher.
"How would you like to kill her?" Lightner asks standing beside Gallagher.
"I got to know for sure." Gallagher said. "Is Kennedy dead or alive?" He asks me again.
"Good luck with that one... Big Dog." I said looking straight ahead.
Gallagher chuckles and shakes his head.
"Big Dog."
"I suppose we could do that thing that McKenna used to do. I would need a blow torch and a sharpened screw driver." Lightner said to himself.
"Just tell us." Gallagher demanded.
I looked over at him for the first time.
"Woof." I whispered and turned my head back to where I was looking straight.
Lightner comes over with something out of my bag and hands it to Gallagher.
"How cute, must be her kid." Gallagher said looking at the picture.
Lightner walked away and Gallagher punched me again.
"Head like an anvil, that hurt my hand." He said and shook his hand. "Alright,"
He grabbed my shoulder and held the picture in front of my face.
"I'm going to let you take a look at your sweet girl, burn her face in your memory, then I'm going to ask you which one of your eyes you like best." Gallagher said and then I head butted him making him shoot backwards and hold his nose.
Lightner came up to me and kicked my chair over.
He then proceeded to kick me no doubt breaking a couple ribs in the process.
After Gallagher got cleaned up enough, he retaliated to my head butt by repeatedly punching me.
Lightner gets out a blow torch and a sharpened screw driver and heats it until it was white.
After it was white he stuck it into my thigh.
I was focused on breathing, something I learned in the army.
I was looking straight ahead and saw Bones come in the door with his dad (wanted criminal).
Lighntner gets up and had his back turned to me so I force myself to fall over so it knocks him over.
Gallagher runs and Bones dad goes after him and Bones runs up to me and kneels.
Lightner turns over and the screwdriver had stabbed him when I knocked him over.
I should feel bad, but I don't.
"If you lie really still, you may not die." Bones told Lightner.
Bones' dad came running over and was now leaning over me.
"I need you car." Max told Bones.
"Max Keenan you're under arrest." I say weakly still duct taped to the chair.
"Not if I get the keys." He said looking at Bones.
"They're in the ignition." He said and Max clapped him on the shoulder and ran out.
I turned and looked at Bones as if he was crazy.
"What? It's not like I actually gave him the keys." He said looking at me and then the place was swarmed by The FBI.
After the FBI cleared the warehouse they cut the duct tape around my wrists making me slam into the ground.
I groan and Bones helps me up, and walks me to the ambulance were they wrap my thigh, tape my ribs, and give me a shot of morphine.
I refuse to be taken to the hospital so Bones gets another dose of morphine and helps me get in the car then starts driving to New York and I fell asleep.
Once I woke up I saw the Statue of Liberty and was still a little loopy.
I looked at the clock and saw that it was 7:30.
"What day is it?" I ask groggily.
"Sunday." Bones says glancing at me with a smile. "Well, hello sleeping beauty."
I smile.
"Sunday." I said and laugh. "I'm late."
"Late for what?" Bones asks.
"It's 7:30. They are going to kill me." I say loopy.
"Who?" Bones asks confused.
"We have to go to my dads house." I said
"No, we have to get you home so you can rest." He protested. "You can miss one Sunday dinner."
"Where's my phone?" I ask feeling my pockets.
"I don't know, it wasn't on you when we found you." He answered.
"You have to go to my dads house." I insisted loopily.
"I'm not going to win, am I?" He asks.
"You really are a smart man." I say and tap his arm.
"I will take you to your dads, but you have to take the other dose of morphine." He said and I nodded my head.
We pull up to the house and Bones turns to me.
"Do you want to have the morphine put in inside or outside. I got an I.V. for it to go into. So you have to tell them either way, plus the bruises.
"Yeah, out here is good." I said and he nodded.
"Stay put." He said and I nodded.
He went to the back seat and I unbuckled my seat belt with some difficulty.
All the sudden my door opened and someone grabbed my legs I swung my first around and saw that Bones caught my fist.
"Don't do that." I said trying to get my heartbeat back to normal.
Bones finished turning me on my seat so that my legs were outside the vehicle but I was still sitting in the car.
He took my hand and put it on my knee.
He grabbed a rubber string and tied it around my upper arm.
He grabbed and alcohol pad and wiped down the back of my hand with it.
After that he threw it into the bag and grabbed a butterfly needle and grabbed my hand.
"I need you to be still." He told me and I nodded my head.
He put the needle in the vein in my hand them he connects the I.V. after that he put tape and a cotton ball on my hand so it won't fall out.
He hangs the I.V. on the dry cleaning hook while he is working. He takes a shot of morphine and enters it through the I.V. he throws everything into a bag and took my I.V. off the hook and helped me stand.
I wobbled at first then he grabbed my arm and steadies me.
He helps me walk up the steps and opens the door.
He leads me inside and sits me on the bench and takes off my shoes.
"Sorry I'm late, it wasn't my fault." I slurred loudly despite Bones' shushing.
After Bones got my shoes off he helped me stand and helped me walk to the dining room. He walked in first then lead me in while holding my I.V.
But of course everything was spinning so I walked right into the door frame.
"Ow." I said.
Bones helped steady me so I didn't fall.
"You can't feel anything." Bones said.
"Yeah, well if I could, I know that would have hurt." I slurred "so it counts."
After we finally made it to the dining room I saw everyone and Danny was the first on his feet.
"What the hell happened to your face?" He asks.
