The Tables Have Turned

You told me
You loved me,
And I thought this was true.
That was until,
I met the real you.

From there on in,
There was no love.
My heart was broken and bashed.
I thought you cared,
But it was you, by whom it had been smashed.

Then you came running back,
And told me of how your heart yearned.
So I took you back,
Little did you know- the tables had turned.

I told you I loved you,
But it was all a lie.
Still I had built you up,
Til you flew high.

Then I took it all back,
And I watched as you fell.
You got what you deserved,
Your life was hell.
