You are the fire-
And you are the light-
You can't seem to believe this,
Which is why I must write.
To tell you that,
Even if we are,
Two beings wandering in the dark,
When we get near each other-
You have to feel that spark.
And sometimes,
You do not see how bright you shine;
I would tell you of this everyday,
From the moment you were mine.
These are the feelings,
Locked inside my heart,
And love, they are difficult to bear,
In the times we are apart.
Still,
When we are together,
My heart, it yearns,
To tell you of this love,
And how it burns.
I know that you,
May not feel the same,
And if I get burned,
I will be the only one to blame.
Yet even if I end up among the ash,
To feel these things for you,
I would never trade.
For you are wonderful fire,
But I am the spade.
