His torso facing the  floor covered with a crimson blood oozing from his stomach wound, the metal was cold against his skin. Atsushi shivered from the cold it emitted. The wound he received from Akutagawa was still throbbing in pain yet he attempted to stand.

Propelling himself by pushing himself up from the floor using the strength of his arms, it gave up, not even lasting for a second. He was able to lean his side against the wall. His strength still feeble from the injury he received.

Atushi winced at the sudden force he tolled himself with.

'Where am I?' he thought. His head began to swirl in dizziness, his eyes were beginning to close in fatigue despite of being unconscious for quite some time. He fought to open his eyes, Atsushi bit his lower lip. The pain would surely let his consciousness to be active.

A moving vehicle, that was the only inference that Atsushi could make at the time. His eyes scanned his surroundings, it was full of metal boxes that usually carry cargoes and  unfortunately, he couldn't hear an external sound from the outside, where could he be?

He was worrying that the Agency will worry for him, he didn't want to cause more trouble than what he already made.

The roaring engine continued to vibrate under his feet. Still feeling wobbly for being knocked unconscious (and even got abducted, mind you) he felt angry at himself.

Unable to save himself from such danger proved that he was still incapable of carrying someone's weight even of a little girl.

He remembered Kyoka and her bloodied rabbit plushie, lying on the ground and her face stricken with despair.

Atsushi finally fell, his consciousness slipping again. His eyes slowly emerging with darkness.

Minutes had passed and finally he was willing himself to stand up again. Even if inflicted with wounds that slowly heal, it was creepy.

Atsushi is the weretiger, The Beast Under The Moonlight. It gives him the advantage in battles, even if inflicted with deep wounds that may have killed a normal person but he was not even near to normal, he was gifted, but to others, they treated it as a curse to many.

Knowing that it was this gift that had caused Kyoka nothing but grief, he felt relieved somehow, that it was not Kyoka who was abducted but he was. She never deserve and all of his fellow gifted ones were not subjected to such. They were human beings too, feeling and brimming with life.

Cruel fate indeed, he felt his eyes watering with tears, grieving for those who felt unwanted, unloved, who resented their very existence. It was hard for him to see Kyoka suffering.

Kyoka was very young, exploited and deceived. Atsushi felt angry at himself and to his fate. If only he was keen and strong, he could have been saved people. He was useless, he knew that fact very well. It was because of this very reason that he knew the feeling of the weak, it gave him strength to stand for what was right and just.

Kyoka was so similar with him, they were both parentless at such a young age but what differed them from each other was the fate of Kyoka was crueler than his.

Welling up with empathy, his fingers curled into fists. It manifested the willingness to save even if he will eventually kill himself in the process.

He will bear the responsibility of someone who will save others.

Kyoka felt helpless and powerless. She failed to fight for what she knew was righteous and just but she let her fear drained her, letting her legs limped lying in the ground while she watched the scene unfold in front of her eyes.
