As Percy woke up he noticed his head and chest were throbbing in pain. He couldn't remember were he was. Hell he couldn't remember who he was. All he knew was that he was somewhere dark and cold.
He tried to get up and walk but was held back by a chain on his ankle. Just as he was about to try to get it off, he heard footsteps and decided the smart thing to do was to act like he was still sleeping, since he couldn't really run away due to the chain.
"Percy.......Percy.......Percy.." A famiar voice called his name, but he decided to ignore it. For some reason just hearing that voice made anger spread throughout him. But at the same time it made his heart ache painfully in sadness and betrayal.
"Percy...Percy... Wake up dammit!" The voice snapped while shaking Percy.
"Well, is he going to wake up" a different voice said clearly agitated
"Um he will soon boss, it seems his body is still trying to reject the water from the Lethe out of his bloodstream boss." The familiar voice said timidly
'The Lethe' Percy thought, 'why does that sound familiar?' He continued to think and try to remember when the other person started talking.
"If were going to win this war we need him awake by tomorrow so we can start training and brainwashing him to fight for us and if he's not well then you can expect to take a feild trip down to Tarturas again and this time you won't have him to protect you!" the second voice growled out, harsh enough that Percy tried his best to not flinch.
"Yes boss" the familiar voice squeaked out.
Percy heard a pair of footsteps leave the room he was in, then shortly after the other person left.
"Finally" he let out a sigh of relief seeing as he was having a hard time not to ask questions about what the mysterious people were talking about.
He thought back on the conversation and tried to remember what the Lethe was.
Then it him like a ton of bricks.
Lethe is the river of forgetfulness in the underworld.
"No wonder I can't remember who I am" he muttered. A million other question were running through his mind though.
The one that stood out was why were the mysterious people going to brainwash him and why did they need him to fight for them. Couldn't they fight for themselves?
Percy needed to come up with a plan. Fast.
'You know, you could just melt the chain with fire' someone said
"Who said that" Percy said quietly
'I did smart one, the voice in your head ya know, I'm your inner wolf waterboy' said the voice sarcastically
"My inner what" Percy asked very confused.
'*sigh* your the god and king of werewolves. Therefore you can shape shift into a wolf. I'm the spirit of your wolf.' The voice said sounding rather bored
"OK well do you have a name" Percy asked
'No' the voice said curtly
"Ok well then your new name is gonna be hmmmm ooh I got it, Mr. Grumpy is your new name"
'*sigh* that is a horrible name I don't like it, I request a new name' Mr. Grumpy said
"Yeah yeah hey I don't even know my name so chill its only temporary.....maybe" Percy said amusingly
' whatever and your name is Percy Jackson by the way. Your a son of Poseidon, ya know the god of the sea, your also a god but I'll explain that later. Right now we need to escape' Mr. Grumpy said
"Okay yeah I agree I have a bad feeling about this."
A door opened not far from where Percy was. He thought that he could hear footsteps coming his way but whoever it was came to an abrupt stop. The footsteps started to fade away after awhile.
Deciding it'd be best to get out of the chains he remembered Mr. Grumpy saying something about fire and melting the chains.
'Here goes nothing' he thought
He grabbed the chain with both hand and thought of fire coming out of his hands. At first nothing happened, but then a soft orange glow appeared. Within a few seconds the chain had turned into a liquid and he was free. Well free of the chain anyways.
"Well that was a nice trick there, Jackson, why don't you teach me sometime" a voice, Percy has heard before but can't remember who it is, said
"Uh huh yeah no I'm good" Percy said sarcastically
"Ha ha, the famous Perseus Jackson everyone" the voice said unamused
"Its just Percy and I'll be here all week" Percy said getting annoyed "anyways who are you and what do you want"
"Ah straight to the point so fast eh? Well since you asked I shall tell. Obviously you don't remember me"— Percy rolled his eyes at that—" I am Kronos, king of the titans and god of time" the voice, Kronos said proudly
"Still didn't answer the other question" Percy said, already bored of the conversation.
"Insulent little brat" Kronos muttered under his breath "the reason why your here is because, well you'll figure it out soon enough, now then I think its time to begin the fun"
"Wha-" Percy started but was cut off when something hit him in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious.
"Take him to the training room, servant, its time to end this war once and for all, I will be king once again! (Insert evil laugh here) Once we brainwash him and get him trained, then he will finally have a body to posses and we can finally start our attack on the retched gods" Kronos said to himself, pleased with the plan.
"He wants to see you boss" the annoying blonde demigod said
"Excellent I have good news anyways" Kronos said and walked to meet him to discuss the plan.
