Percy pov

Artemis looked up at me when i accidentally gasped. To say she was shocked was an understatement. I jumped down from the branch to see what she wanted.

"Hello perseus" she said kind of happily.

"Umm hi" i said.

"Why did you leave camp" she askes curiously.

"I'm not really in the mood to talk about that at the moment" I muttered.

Silence settled in around us since i wasn't talking about that subject yet.

"Okay seeing as you dont want to talk about it I wont make you yet. You have a cousin who is worried sick about you, would you like to come back to my camp i need to take you to Olympus anyways" she said.

I remembered that i didn't tell Thalia about where I was I mentally scolded myself for forgetting. I followed Artemis back to the hunt.

When we got there i was tackled to the ground by Thalia.

"What the hell kelp head!? Why did you leave camp?! You could've gotten killed! " Thalia yelled.

"Sorry" I said while she helped me up then hugged me so hard I think a rib or two cracked.

"Oay hunters I'll be back I have to take Perseus here to Olympus. Thalia as usual your in charge." Artemis said, as she called for a council meeting.

We arrived in the throne room seconds later I almost passed out from the nausea I felt. It passed within a few minutes.

Shortly everyone appeared and the meeting started.

"Ah Percy Jackson nice to see you. Why did you leave camp?" Zeus asked, curiously

"Why don't you ask Poseidon what happened, Im sure he'd be glad to tell you." I said with as much hate and venom i could muster, while giving him a glare that would put Lupa to shame.

"Son i-" He started but I cut him off.

"No you lost the right to call me that when you betrayed me along with that bitch!" I spat out.

He just sunk down in his throne in guilt. I felt kind of bad but he was the one that betrayed me they all did.

Flashbacks ran through my head again. Everyone was silent. I couldn't go on with my life with all the pain and betrayal I felt .

"Zeus, I have a request that you might like."

"What is it Jackson?" He asked.

"I wish to be dead." i simply said with no emotion.

Gasp came from all around the room along with the occasional what and why.

"Why do you want to die, Percy?" Hestia askes from her hearth.

"Because I have nothing to live for anymore. I'm just an empty shell of someone." I muttered.

"What about Annabeth? How would she feel about this?" Athena asked.

"Ha she's the reason I want to die. She cheated on me with my own brother! She betrayed me along with everyone else in that wretched camp." I yelled.

If possible Poseidon slouched down even more.  You could feel the regret and guilt rolling off of him in waves.

Good he deserves to feel that way, I thought.

"Im sorry, but your to powerful to kill Perseus, we need you for future wars." Zeus said.

Figures leave it to the gods to only think about themselves.

"But i have a job for you. Something that might give you a purpose." He said as if he had a grand idea.

"What is it" I mumbled, not liking the sound of his voice.

"You can be the hunts guardian." He said, as serious as he can be.

I heard a gasp behind me and knew it was Artemis.

Well this was going to be fun
