Right now I am cherishing an iced latte while sitting on my bed, enjoying my summer and bugs-free home.
[I know I haven't been here in so long but I just finished school and came back from camping so I thought I'd talk about it]
As a school trip, they thought it would be amazing to take us camping on this site that is a three hours drive away. And by the way, the drive was so boring and tiring.
But we reached the site [sharewood] at 6pm and were assigned tents at 6:30.
the tents were a combination of pros and cons honestly:
-Our tent had a levely back view of the mountains
-But it was so hot inside.
-the mattresses didn't leave much space for suitcases.
But it had an electrical plug so we could charge.
However it was not just that, since there was lots of bugs, which didn't let us sleep all night, the bathrooms weren't the best place to pee, there was ants on the seats and dirt in the shower rooms.
But, we had a huge bonfire which was amazing, we went hiking under the moon, and during dinner, a bat decided to stop by!!
But in the end, camping is an experience that everyone should try, whether it's with your school, your friends or family. Getting away in nature for a day and trying activities such a zipline, rock climbing, swinging from trees, and archery has made my first day of summer memorable.
so say yes to camping!!!
stay amazing. x
