I woke up to my alarm beeping. "Crap!" I whisper to myself. 20 minutes to get ready for my first day of school, at a new school; Beacon Hills High school.
I'm Arabella but people call me Ara or Bella. I'm a teenage girl, who recently moved to California after my parents died in a tragic car accident. Was it hard? Yes, they were my support and I relied on them but luckily, my childhood friend and his dad let me in with them. He is Stiles Stilinski.
I grab some clothes and set them on my bed and then make my way to the washroom to see a shirtless Stiles.
"Ara!" He yells.
I ignore him. "Stiles, we've been friends forever. You're worried about me seeing you shirtless? Whimp..." I say and smirk at him and he smiles back. "So, you've been working out?" I ask and he cocked his head and looked at me in shock. "What?" I ask sarcastically.
"These guys?" He says pointing to his abs. "Lacrosse," he mumbled.
"You on the team?" I asked.
He nodded. "We have practice today. You can come and watch," he suggested.
I shrugged and agreed. It'd be nice to see him play a sport for a change.
After freshing up for the day, I went back to my room and changed into my clothes, which consisted of sheer black tights, a mini dark grey skirt, a white tank top with grey feather graphics and then a washed out grey cardigan.
I went downstairs, slipped on my black ankle boots then went over to the breakfast table.
"Good morning Mr. Stilinski!" I exclaimed and gave him a hug. He was Stiles' only parent; his mom died in a car crash as well. Stiles' dad is also sherrif of Beacon Hills.
"Mornin' Ara!" he said and then handed me a plate of pancakes as Stiles came down. He grabbed his plate of food and devoured it with me. We finished in 10 minutes, said our good-byes then headed out to his piece of crap Jeep.
After a 15 minute drive, we reached the school. I got out with Stiles and all the guys on the lacrosse team were saying, "Yeah Stilinski!" and "Congrats!" as well as "How'd you land her?" I rolled my eyes and stared at Stiles as he apologized. I shrugged and ignored the comments, but Stiles explained to them I was just a friend.
We entered school and Stiles introduced me to all his friends; Scott. Captain of the lacrosse team, soft brown hair and eyes. Allison, Scott's girlfriend seeing that her arms are all over him. She has a similar style like me, and she has a face of a doll. Jackson, co-captain and the hunk of the school. Lydia, his girlfriend or its either complicated between the two of them; I can feel the tension. Aiden and Ethan, identical twins.
"Stilinski!" I suddenly heard someone yell out as Stiles turned around and motioned his head upwards. His friend, who was tall stepped in front of us.
"Ara, this is my friend-" Stiles started saying but was then cut off by his friend.
"I'm Lahey... Isaac Lahey," he said and reached out his hand. I reached mine out and shook his and I felt it; a spark. There was a connection between us, but I couldn't figure out what it was. I stared into his cold icy, blue eyes, and admired his blonde, curly hair
"H-hi," I mumbled and felt a hint of pink rising onto my cheeks. I knew this was going to be a great school year...
