I jumped as the school bell rang, announcing it was time for lunch. I grabbed my things and left the classroom, and saw Isaac against a wall, waiting. I called his name and he walked towards me.
"Hey Ara!" He said, grinning cheekily.
"Hey Isaac."
"So I was wondering..." he started saying then trailed off and sighed. He cleared up his throat and continued, "I was wondering if you would want to go out on Friday?" He asked me then we stopped in the middle of the halls. He seemed incredibly nervous; in my peripheral vision, I could see his leg trembling slightly.
"On a date?"
"Yes...?" He said, questioning himself.
I smiled at him and held his fingers, reassuring him. "Of course, I'd love to," I said, smiling even wider.
He lurched forward and sighed with a sense of relief. "That's great. I have to go and talk to a teacher about extra credit but I'll catch up with you later," he announced and I nodded and waved at him. He waved back, bumping into a few people, as I giggled.
I made my way to my locker and grabbed my third and fourth period books and a $10 bill for lunch. I slammed my locker shut and jumped to see Stiles behind the door.
"Damn you Stilinski!" I said loudly, catching a few people's attention.
He laughed at me as I slapped his arm playfully.
"Woah, someone's hungry," I said, in reply to the growl of his stomach.
"Yeah I am, so please hurry so we can eat?" He asked and I rolled my eyes and finished packing my bag.
"Done."
We both strolled along the halls to the cafeteria and we stood in line for a bite to eat.
