"As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once."

CHAPTER SIX
"Oh my god, stop!" I stopped running, my breathing was so heavy.
Jeremy stopped a few steps ahead of me, we both sat at the sidewalk. "You tired already? Thought cheerleaders had more stamina than that."
"Of course we do!" I said, offended. "I'm just... um... sleepy." Lame excuse. The truth is? I just don't have that much strength any longer.
"Okay, okay. Now, how are we supposed to get on our own homes?"
I didn't think about that. "Um, how about a cab?"
"Newsflash Megan, its 2 in the morning." Jeremy answered.
"Walk?" I suggested again.
Jeremy shook his head at me. "Seriously? Your place is like 2 kilometers away and mine is 3."
"Ain't that far..." I reasoned out.
"Not an option either at this time of night." Jeremy reasoned back. "Maybe I should just call Adrian and have him drive my car here."
I looked at him like he has lost his mind, "Are you freaking serious?!"
Jeremy nodded, "Why are you even running from their mom anyway?"
"You mean besides Cece looking like the wicked witch of the west and looking like a whore in the cheapest hooters? Well, I'm not welcome inside their hell hole. Go figure out the rest." I mumbled.
He chuckled very lightly and took out his phone, then made a call. "Adrian. Can you drive my car over at 63 Block of Walters?"
"What the fuck are you doing?" I whispered at him, hissing. Jeremy ignored me.
"Great! Thanks!" Jeremy beamed then hung up.
I slapped his head. "I hate you!"
"Come on Megan! What could possibly be worst than a 10 minute ride back home with Adrian?"
10 minutes indeed was all it took for me to arrive home. Guess what was worst? TWO HERONDALES ON THE RIDE HOME!!!! IAN AND ADRIAN!!!!
Yes, perverted Ian tagged along. And all the way home, they continued teasing me whilst Jeremy did nothing but seat beside me on the back seat. Adrian insisted to drive and what the heck of a driver he was. It was so bumpy I think I was gonna vomit.
Weirdly though, the Herondale brothers didn't nudge me about the prank I did with Ian a week ago. Instead, they kept on rubbing it on my face I was caught red-handed by their mom being at their house.
And finally, finally! After that hideous time, I'm now creeping in inside our house. Fortunately for me, Henry seems to be asleep in his room, leaving me at mercy from his lectures. That is, if he even noticed that I left. I opened my door to my room, entered, and then closed the door. It was dark but I didn't open the lights. I didn't even changed clothes. Instead, I jumped in my bed and...
