"There's a formula for how long it takes to get over someone, that it's half as long as the time you've been together." -Jennifer Smith, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight
CHAPTER THIRTEEN
"Ahhhh..." I sighed inwardly when my feet touched the rocky land. The breeze alone makes me melt, the lake house is surrounded by nothing but trees and the calm air is so fresh that it seems like your lung cancer could be cured just by inhaling it. If only lung cancer is my problem...
"Ohmygosh!!!" Shrieked Blondie as her heels touched the rocky land. Her shriek was followed by similar reactions as her whole herd comes out of the car.
Blondie took a step towards Adrian and wrapped her arms around him, "Babe, this place would ruin our heels!"
Of course, that's Adrian's... company... to this trip. The perfect match.
Adrian just chuckled at her and his lips started to be all over her neck. Um? Eew?
I shivered and noticed the herd of skanks off to their own company to this trip. Ian has Blondie #2, Mike has Blondie #3, Blondie #4 goes with Caleb. While the skank with the black hair is with Jeremy, I'm calling her Skank. Last but not the least, Red Skank goes to Jeremy.
"Alright beautiful people, let's get all our personal stuff inside first then let's take care of everything else." Melissa started to lead again, we obliged as Sasha handed us our pillows and blankets.
The lake house is three stories high. The ground floor has the living room, kitchen slash dining room, a lavatory and two guest rooms. The second and third floor has seven bedrooms and four lavatories each. What I find special in this lake house is that even from the ground floor, you can see the very roof. Even the four sides of the second and third floor because the middle is empty, only buckled up with wooden railings.
Jeremy, Caleb and their dates helped themselves up on the third floor, waving like idiots whilst their date chose their rooms on the same floor. Josh and his date went up to the third floor as well while the Herondale brothers including their plus ones settled on the third floor.
"What floor are you going to stay guys?" I addressed my girls.
Sasha answered, "We'll take our own rooms on the second."
I nodded and they carried their things upstairs. "How about us, where are we staying?" asked Klent.
I shrugged, "I was thinking of staying here on the ground floor, I don't like to take that flight of stairs later this evening when I know we'll get drunk."
Klent kissed the back of my hand and led me to one of the guest rooms. The room has a queen-sized bed, one huge closet, its own bathroom and a desk with a vanity mirror. We just placed our bags, pillows and blankets on the bed and proceeded on helping the others with everything else. Which was a lot that it accumulated almost an hour of our time.
We had to open the electricity, the water, place all the appliances where it should be, all the food and drinks that needs to go to the fridge, the grillers just outside the front door and blablabla.
We all rested for a while and the herd of skanks did nothing all throughout but complain that mosquitos are munching on them. Hah.
We decided to cook, prepare and eat lunch first. We had a very satisfying meal. Hamburger, hotdogs, corns + strawberry banana shake. Yum! And of course, ice cream. Yeah we know... Or I know. Those are not a pretty and healthy combination but boohoo who cares. Well, the herd of skanks cared though since all they ate was the corn and drank the strawberry banana shake; which we don't mind at all because it means more food for us. Yet boy, was I pissed. Don't get me wrong, I do complain when I eat fattening or unhealthy meals; my girls do too. But food is food and it should be enjoyed to the fullest.
