You’re talking to your friend when you hear fast pace footsteps coming your way. In your peripheral vision you see him running towards you with his awkward high-kneed run-jog. You giggle and turn around opening your arms as a “hug me!” indicator. He runs at you arms extended and you both embrace in a fit of laughter. You hold up your finger at him and turn to your friend whispering in their ear.

“Secrets, secrets are no fun… unless you tell me!” He says with a grin.

“Oh we were talking about the latest Dr. Who episode when the Doctor-“ you begin to say.

“Hashafallaalaaa, nope noooo, don’t want to hear it!” he yells out covering his ears. 

You laugh, your friend says “goodbye” as she starts walking with another friend.

You and him begin to head to lunch, he takes your hand and you skip down the hallway, bursting with laughter as you reach the stairs due to the looks you got from the people inside the classrooms. You begin to harmonize the song, Beggars, by Bombay Bicycle Club then going into unison singing, Breezblocks, by Alt J. (or any songs of your choice) Both of you were horribly out of sync, but didn’t care as you reached the bottom of the staircase. Anyone left in the hallway that heard you were casting curious stares in your direction but the two of you didn’t seem to notice as you laughed and talked.

“Hachow che pow che pow che pow pow”, you say randomly.

He tries to mimic you, but he gets all tongue-tied and ends up saying something like, “hechow che pow pow che che pow”.

You laugh at each other’s randomness as you walk along the hallway.

“So this Saturday I’m going to my friend’s and we’re playing Dungeons and Dragons, but Sunday I’m free, would you want to hang out?” he asks as you practically gallop into the cafeteria.

“Hmm, well you know my parents…but maybe…” you reply with an uncertain expression. 

He grins and pecks you on the lips.

“I’m sure we’ll figure out something”, he says with a smile.
