Chapter 14

I slowly opened my eyes reviewing the night’s events in my head. I looked up to see bars and wire? I turned my head and saw the same thing, I was inside a cage, lying on a mattress. I tried to move around except I was held back. I glanced up at my arms and then down and my feet and they were both in hand cuffs chained to the end of this cage. My limbs were numb, I had no idea how long I had been knocked out for. The cage was as long as I was, as I was lying down in it and it was off the ground almost like how a baby’s crib is. I looked around the room but there was nothing around, just four plain white walls and no furniture, only a door that lead who knows where.

I watched as I saw the doorknob turn and there was a click of a lock unlocking. In walked Blake and two other men.

‘Morning sunshine’ Blake acknowledged me whilst walking over and lifting open the lid to the cage

‘What do you want?’ I asked hotly

‘Well you see young Ella, I want nothing more than you and your fortune and to get that I either need to keep you until you are 18 which is quite a while away I believe or kill you and inherit the fortune. So I am going for the latter. You see your new friends that you keep escaping from are really the good guys, they are trying to protect you from me and my cult and what we are going to do to you’ he finished

He bent down towards me and chained my arms together and then my legs, then he lifted me out of the cage and carried me bridal style to the room next door. The whole time he was flanked by these two huge men who I knew were also vampires. He carried me into what looked like a bedroom. There was a huge king sized bed in the middle of the room with a blood red quit cover set on it, there was a mirror, a chest of drawers and a warderobe.

‘Men you can have your turn in five’ Blake informed both of the men and then they vanished.

I was trembling violently absolutely repulsed by Blake. He laid me on the bed, then he did something I wasn’t expecting. He bit my neck and started to drink my blood. I started to scream but then I just blacked out. I briefly remember waking back up to find both of those men that were with black drinking from each of my wrists and then I blacked out again.

I woke up looking at the top of cage again. I felt weak and drained, I had no idea how much blood they too from me but I was certain it was too much. I was clueless as to how I was going to get out of here and was lost in thought. I didn’t notice Blake enter the room until he spoke.

‘Ready for round two El? I’m going to drink you dry’ he informed me while once again lifting up the lid to the cage.

‘Please, no’ I whispered as tears started rolling down my cheeks.

Just as Blake was bending down to pick me up and take me to the bedroom the door to the room crashed open and in walked Bray, Jay, Dean and Kyle.

Blake dropped me back down into the cage and I let out a whimper. He took in the sight of the four vampires in front of him Bray and Jay were armed with swords and guns and Dean and Kyle were carrying weapons I didn’t even know existed.  

‘Don’t even think about calling for backup’ Jay informed him sternly ‘everyone here is no longer’

I was shocked did they kill everyone here, oh my god! But they were bad Ella they were going to kill me, oh yeah. I snapped back to reality and watched the action unfold before me.

‘You didn’t’ Blake stated warily

‘Oh but we did’ Bray informed him, ‘We really did’

‘Don’t worry you will see them all in your next life’ Dean piped in.

With that Blake darted for the door only to be blocked by Dean and Kyle. The boys backed Blake into a corner.

‘Any last words?’ Dean asked

‘Yeah, you’ll never get me’ Blake responded, and with that he jumped up and kicked the weapons out of the two boys hands. He pulled a gun out of his jacket and aimed it at my head.

‘Right anyone moves and I shoot the girl’ He informed everyone whilst moving further and further away towards the door. Eventually he bolted out of the door and all four boys took off after him. Five minutes later the four boys returned but Blake didn’t.

They all hurried over to me and leaned over into the cage. Jay went up to the head of the bed whilst Bray went down to the end of it and he each snapped off the handcuffs off of my hands and feet. Kyle leaned into the cage and scooped me up into his arms, I whimpered at the movement as he carried me Bridal style.

‘Sssshh Ella, it’ll be alright babe’ Kyle soothed

‘C’mon hurry and get her into the car she looks like she’s been to war’ Jay said worry clouding his voice.

Shit did I really look that bad, great. That was my last thought before I lost consciousness.
