Chapter 5

'Fine. Now I'm in the car I want my answers' I demanded from them all

'Shoot' side Jay driving

'Why do you want me? How did you know where I was? How do you know who I am, and my name? Was that limousine after me? Are you going to eat me? Where are we going? How do you keep knocking me out?' my mouth was then covered before I could finish asking questions with Kyle's big hand.

He looked down at me and said 'that's enough questions to start with'

I looked back up at him and nodded, I was still afraid of them, but I wanted my answers more than anything.

'One we're not going to eat you Ella, I told you were the good guys, two we have been watching you ever since the death of your family, yes that limousine was after you but don't worry we are going somewhere safe and we are all talented and just know how to knock people out by squeezing a certain nerve near the shoulder' Jay said

Wow, that was a lot to take in. I just nodded my head before responding.

'You've been watching me' I stated worried

'Yes Ella. You see we don't want to alarm you, but there are certain people out there that want to get you for their benefits. Your family was very wealthy and all of that wealth is now in your hands though you don't know it yet and those people they want it, they want you Ella.'

He paused to glance at my reaction in the car mirror before continuing.

'We are taking you to our home where there are more of us, you will stay there with us and we will protect you, we won't let anything happen to you Ella'

'Why, why are you doing this, why are you helping me?' I asked curiously

'This is what we do, we find people that are in danger and save them.'

'How can I know for sure, how do I know you aren't the bad guys and that guy in the limousine was the one trying to save me?' I questioned

'Well I guess you can't know for sure, you just have to trust us' he said

'Trust you' I repeated. Such meaningful words, yet they would not sink into my mind.

'Yes' they all said simultaneously

'But, but I have nothing to go on, only what you have told me that's it, no proof, no anything' I said sighing

'Like I said before you just have to trust us' Jay said again

I still wasn't sure I just couldn't completely trust these guys, after all they had taken me without my consent and they had knocked me out several times now.

'Are you scared?' asked Dean who was seated beside me looking down at me

'N-n-n-no' is stuttered. I didn't realise my voice was so shaky and full of uncertainty until I spoke aloud

'Liar' he stated

'I am not lying' I tried to defend myself

'She's scared, though there is no need to be anymore' said the driver Jay looking at me through the mirror

We drove for ages, in complete silence. As we drove along the land (they weren't proper roads) it was extremely rough. I was thrown around in my seat with the harness restraining me. I leaned forward in my seat past Dean to glance out the window. It was still dark outside and I couldn't make anything out. I leant back and sighed, I just wanted to go back home, to my normal life this was all so strange. The next chance I got I was going to try and do just that.

'I'm going to pull in here' Jay announced five minutes later

'Is it empty already?' questioned Bray

'No, not just yet but I want it full' he replied

I leaned forward again to see what they were talking about. Out the window was a petrol station illuminated brightly by all the lights. It was the only visible to me on the whole entire street. We pulled up to it and came to a complete stop outside one of the petrol things.

Jay got out the car and started filling up the tank.

'Can I get out and stretch my legs?' I asked. The three boys all exchanged glances then nodded

'Yeah, okay' said Dean at his words, tried to get up out of my seat only to be pulled back down by the harness. Whoops, forgot I was wearing that. I fiddled with the straps and buckles, but it was useless I had no idea how it came off.

'Here let me' said Dean chuckling whilst undoing the harness. Once out of my seat I jumped out of the car and breathed in the hot moist air. The three boys also hoped out too.

'Why did we have to stop?' asked Bray

'We needed to fill up the tank, in case we have to make some fast moves' explained Kyle

'So we still could've made it I'm sure' Bray argued

'Well, it was Jay's choice' stated Dean

As the three of them continued deeply in their discussion I decided to slowly back away behind the car then run down the street. Surely they wouldn't be able to find me in this darkness.

I backed along the side of the massive car, keeping my back against it. Quietly I turned around, and started creeping forward. I glanced behind me and couldn't see the boys so I kept pacing forward.
