‘You’ll see’ he replied and with that got up and left the room leaving me to my thoughts.
I stayed in the bed for a few more minutes just thinking. I had just spent the night with a Vampire in my bed, and I had actually liked it. What was happening to me? Did I like Bray? Was I falling for him? No, I couldn’t let myself feel that way for someone that kidnapped me could I? But he did save my life multiple times with the other guys, and they do keep saying they are the good guys and here to protect me. Oh what was I going to do?! I really did still want to go back to Sydney to all of my friends but I was feeling more at home here with every day passing. I was just so confused.
With that long thought process I made myself get up out of bed and head to the shower to get ready for the day. I had a long 10 minutes shower enjoying the hot beads of water trickle down my back, forcing myself to get out of the shower I changed into some white denim shorts and fluro pink crotchet midriff top. I pulled my hair up into a high ponytail letting the curls fall down my back and applied a small amount of makeup. There I was ready to go. But what was I ready for? The boys never said what we were doing today?
I walked back into my bedroom about to take one last look at myself in the mirror on the dresser when something caught my eye. There was a piece of folded up paper stuck to the corner of the mirror, curiously I ripped the paper off the mirror and unfolded it, what was inside chilled me to the bone. I stood in my spot frozen with fear, this note wasn’t good news, this note was ripping down all the safety and security I was finally beginning to feel. I was scared, I was fearful, I was terrified. I could hear knocking on my bedroom door and the boys voices calling out to me to let them in, but I didn’t move, I couldn’t. A minute later I heard a click and in walked the four gorgeous vampires. I assumed they got themselves a key- smart move really, but my mind was elsewhere.
‘Ella why didn’t you let us in?’
‘Yeah, didn’t you hear us knock?’
‘And call your name?’
The boys asked, but I didn’t answer them, I stayed in my spot still clutching the note. Tears were beginning build up in my eyes and cloud my vision. When I didn’t answer again the boys all edged closer to me until they were forming a small circle around me.
‘El what’s wrong?’ Bray asked gently
I still didn’t answer and that’s when he spotted the piece of paper in my hand and slowly grabbed it and began to read aloud-
‘Ella, I want you to know that you are mine, I am coming back for you and that is certain. You cannot be protected forever, your blood will be mine. Until then Baby.’ Bray finished reading and exchanged meaningful looks with the other three before springing into action.
‘Ella, Ella it will be alright’ Bray said gripping me by the shoulders and spinning me to face him, I looked up at him to be met with eyes of worry. I didn’t respond to him, ever since I was a child if I was scared I was unusually quiet, I wouldn’t utter a peep, it was literally like I was frozen with fear and everything stopped working.
‘Right Kyle pack Ella’s some things in a bag quickly’ Bray instructed taking charge, he left me and walked over to the other boys talking quickly and quietly in an urgent conversation I couldn’t hear.
2 minutes later and Kyle was done packing a few of my things and Bray had formed a plan.
‘Alright Ella, we need to leave now, c’mon’ Bray instructed and they all began walking towards the door, I didn’t follow though, I was still in my place.
‘Ella c’mon! Bray instructed again, with a sigh he turned around and walked swiftly back to me whipping me up into his arms bridal style and we left my room. The boys ran down through the house and Bray managed to do it with me in his arms and all the way out the front to their big 4WD type car. I was placed in the back in the middle seat and belted up, followed by the four boys getting in and then we were off driving to where I don’t know.
We drove for a few hours at a highly illegal speed before we arrived at a destination I thoroughly recognised. Big bill boards lining the side of the roads, cars flying down the freeway and big planes flying to and fro, we were at the airport. We pulled up to the international departures gate and Bray stopped the car and got out. The boys followed suit and I forced myself to move out of the car and stood awkwardly on the side walk. The boys once again formed a circle around me
‘Alright Ella, you and me we’re going to catch a flight, and the boys they’re going back home to see if they can find him or any-more clues, then they are going to meet us where we are going’ Bray informed me looking me straight in the eye. He then grabbed my hand in one of his and my small bag of belongings in his other and walked me into the airport. We walked up the desk at the QANTAS counter and checked my bag in.
‘Two first class tickets to London please’ Bray asked the lady in uniform behind the desk.
