"Are you going to Sergio's football match?" Miriam asked Aleana, she had stopped by her apartment a few minutes earlier with an amazing announcement. She was flipping some pages in a magazine, trying to make her left hand more noticeable."Yeah, it's in a few hours." Aleana said, not looking at Miriam. She kept her eyes focused on some measurements and comparing them to see what furniture would fit in her clients house.
"I like that couch." Miriam said pointing at one with her left hand.
"I don't think it goes with the them-" Aleana stopped mid sentence because she finally saw the huge diamond on one of her best friends' hands. "You're getting married!"
"Yes!" Miriam squealed, they both started yelling excitedly.
"I cannot believe you're getting married!" Aleana said hugging Miriam.
Sergio unlocked the door of his apartment to see his best friend and sister in tears. "What happened?"
"Miriam's getting married." Aleana said wiping back her tears while Miriam showed her brother her engagement ring.
A huge smile appeared on Sergio's face. "I'm so happy for you."
The three of them sat in the living room and started talking about the wedding.
"So, he just popped the question and I obviously said yes." Miriam gushed.
"So, when are you planning to get married?" Sergio asked.
"Well, we were thinking about a year or something like that. We're both pretty busy and we obviously haven't found a wedding planner."
"Why isn't Aleana your wedding planner? You told me the other day that you would love to plan a wedding." Sergio said shrugging his shoulders and Aleana slapped her back.
"What are you talking about?" Aleana said furrowing her eyebrows.
"You know what, that wouldn't be a bad choice. Hiring you as our wedding planner." Miriam said.
"What are you guys talking about?" Aleana repeated. "I'm not a professional wedding planner, this is your big day. You need a professional."
"I mean, we would be hiring a total stranger to design this wedding. I've known you my whole life, you know my taste. I'd rather hire someone I already know and who knows me." Said Miriam.
"I-I don't think I can. I mean I'd love to. Why don't you discuss this with the hubby-to-be and then we'll talk. Okay?" Ale. "It's almost time for the match, we need to leave."
Miriam nodded with a smile and left while Sergio went to go get his training bag. When he got out of his bedroom all ready to go, he saw Aleana reading a magazine. It had the story of a few days back printed on the front.
"I'm just happy the guy didn't press any charges." Sergio said putting his hand out to help Aleana stand up from the couch.
"How are you feeling?" She asked pointing at his black eye.
"I'm getting better, but right now I have to focus on the game." He said with a smile.
"I see Sara over there. I'll see you after the game. Give it your all, I know you guys can win." Aleana said grabbing Sergio by the sides of his head and eloping him into a hug. "Love you."
Sergio nodded. He didn't know if it was the adrenaline pumping in his blood or if he was just being bold, but he grabbed Aleana and turned her around back to face him. "Love you." Was the only thing he said before putting his lips on Ale's. Aleana returned the kiss.
"I couldn't leave without a good luck kiss." Sergio said as they separated. "I'll see you after we win."
Aleana only nodded shyly and saw Sergio walk away. She didn't know what was happening between her and Sergio, but Aleana wasn't completely sure she wanted this. Was she willing to risk her friendship with Sergio? Did she want to get into another relationship again so soon?
"Aleana! Hurry up! The match is almost starting." Sara yelled keeping the door to the private box open.
"Penalties are the worst thing ever." Aleana said to the other WAGs as they all paced in the room.
Goal after goal, Real Madrid was in the lead. One more goal and they would be champions for the eleventh time. Sergio came up to the ball and shot. It went in and the crowd went crazy. The ladies all went down and saw their respective boyfriends coming in from the field. Aleana saw Sara go with Iker and give him a hug before he went back out into the field with his son, she saw Irina hugging Cristiano. One by one she saw everyone go with their partners and she started thinking about why she was actually here. She wasn't Sergio's girlfriend, she didn't have to come down to congratulate him. They were merely just friends. She started heading up into the box before she heard Irina yell at her.
"Ale! Where are you going! Sergio is finishing an interview, he's probably going to be looking for you over here!" She said.
"Tell him I'll be up here if he needs me." Aleana said taking off. When she was in the box, she could see everyone in the field celebrating. This just confirmed what she had been thinking. She was Sergio's friend, nothing more. Friends don't kiss, friends don't cuddle, friends don't act as if they were dating. Things were going to change between them from now on.
Sergio went up into the box, Irina had told him that Aleana was there. When he opened the door he saw her sitting on the couch.
"Aleana! We won!" He said excitedly, opening his arms for her to come give him a hug.
"Congratulations." She said giving him a short hug.
"What's wrong?" He asked taking Aleana's hand, the kiss they had both shared had been playing on Sergio's mind and was basically his motivation through the game.
"Nothing." She replied coldly. "I'm guessing you're gonna go celebrate, I don't feel like it. I'll see you back at the house."
After that, Aleana left. Leaving Sergio sweaty, confused and wondering what he did wrong. He heard some yells from his teammates, Sergio would just deal with this later. For now, he was going to celebrate his win.
