Hey Dolls, I just want you all to know that your black is beautiful. If someone hasn't told you today you are gorgeous and you are beautiful, well I am telling you. You are a queen honey so slay.

Don't you just sometimes hate when boys tell you that you're cute "for a black girl" like where did that saying even come from. For a black girl? What are you saying black girls are ugly? I hate how our women of color aren't uplifted. They got white people playing Egyptians and all types of things. Our generation discriminates the darker skin. The darker your skin the uglier you are. But it isn't true. Dark Skin and all shades of black are beautiful. Same for the boys out here. Just cause you aren't light skin don't mean you ain't popping.

I remember when I told my self oh my god I love lightskin boys. I never had a crush on a lightskin boys only darkskins. I was woke as fuck when I realized it. From when I was like 7 or 8 I had a a crush on my brothers darker skin friends. My crush last year was some nice chocolate. All the guys I have dated has been dark skin. I can say I have a crush on one light skin boy but it wasn't because he was light. It was because he likes my soul, my kindness and my mind.

You shouldn't be ashamed of who you are or where you come from. My hair is short, yes I wear weave and no that doesn't mean I want to be white.

I remember when I was in class and we were talking about poetry, one group had Langston Hughes, they tried to say that all his poems were because he was writing from a slaves prospective. I rolled my eyes so hard. They always kept saying 'because he is black'. They didn't know anything about him. They made jokes of his words.

been scared and battered.
My hopes the wind done scattered.
Snow has friz me,
Sun has baked me,

Looks like between 'em they done
Tried to make me

Stop laughin', stop lovin', stop livin'--
But I don't care!
I'm still here!

They said that it was because he was a slave that he wrote this poem. This could've been any prospective of any race to me. It could've been someone poor making a living. But because he was black it was about a slave? These are highschool students speaking this way about a poem. The system need to learn how to educate us about the past instead of sugar coating it like it is nothing. These dumb ass reality tv shows, show black women fighting, giving them stereotype labels.

I'm just ranting all around. But ya'll are all beautiful. Every shade of black.

But my updates are coming soon.
