This is a part two of Steve Im leaving. I did create a book called leaving about it so maybe this will get you guys interested in it.

Jesse POV

I was driving trying to figure out where to go. I needed to be at least a state away from Oklahoma. I felt that it wasn't far enough though. So I decided I would go to New York. I had family out there so I figured I could stay with my aunt and uncle until I got me an apartment. My aunt lives in lake placid, NY. Lake placid is a village in the Adirondack Mountains in Essex County, New York. She has this huge house. It is two stories including 5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, and a pool. I just got out of Missouri and started driving through Illinois.

I pulled into to gas station to get a refill also to use the payphone. After I filled up my gas tank I walked over to the payphone. I dialed my aunts number hoping she would pick up. After the third ring she picked and asked me how I was and why was I calling her. I told her the story and how I was wondering if it was OK if I could stay with her for a while. After she said it was fine I got back inside the car and started my route to New York up again. I was about midway through Illinois when the sun started to go down so I decided to stay at a motel. It still is going to take me a couple of days to get to New York so I might as well enjoy the view.

The motel was crappy. It had crappy floors, crappy beds, it was just crappy. I still can't believe I up and left my family. But I couldn't stand it anymore. Steve pushed me to far this time. This is the fourth time he has hooked up with his ex in our relationship. I was just never able to get her out of the picture. But deep down I knew Steve still had feelings for her. When we first started dating he would talk about her a lot. I always felt as though I was being compared to her.

I've gotten over Steve cheating on me. I'm just worried that the gang is going to try and find me. Then it hit me I need a new look, I can't stay the same. I looked at the clock on the dirty, grimy wall. It was only 8:30 at night so I figured a store would still be open. I drove around the quite town, I must say the scenery is actually quite well. Trees everywhere, it just seemed very mysterious. I actually felt as though I could live here and nobody would know anything about my past life. And that is true but still to me it wouldn't be far enough. I finally found a small little store. I went and searched down the isles to find scissors since I was changing my whole look. Once I found them I went and paid for it. I then back to the crappy motel.

Here I was sitting in the stupid crappy motel bathroom with the pair of scissors. My hair was actually extremely long so cutting it was just a bit scary for me but I managed. My hair now came down to just below my boobs. I decided I have to change my personality no longer being nice and stuff, it's time for me to be tough. If I'm going to live in New York I have to be tough, nice people don't survive. I went back to the crappy bed, and laid down on it hoping to get some sleep which will probably be impossible because this bed is super uncomfortable. After about an hour I finally fell asleep since I do have a long trip ahead of me tomorrow. I'm missing the gang so much already. But I hope they haven't noticed that I've left yet and I hope that if they have their taking it well, instead of doing something stupid or trying to find me. I just don't want to be found I want to be a new person. The person that I want to be. I really didn't have a choice in being a greaser back in Tulsa but now that I'm going away I can be anyone I want.

And that's what I'm going to do.
