Celesta

Chapter 1

   It all started the night a baby was born.

"She's breathtaking," said the doctor.

"Breathtaking or not, she's cursed, we have to end her, now," informed the nurse firmly.

"She's not cursed!" shouted the baby's father, Johnny, barging into the cottage. Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead as he approached the doctor with the child in his hands.

"Then how do you explain all the fire around her when she was born?" asked the nurse, outraged.

"She even burned your wife to death! We have to kill her before she kills us all!"

"You will not later a finger on my daughter!" Johnny shouted, causing the little baby to burst out in tears.

   Sparks of fire appeared around her and the doctor let go of her in fear of being burnt. Johnny placed a magic barrier around her to keep her from falling and to contain her flames.

"Monster!" shouted one of the nurses after seeing what had occurred.

   Magic is a very rare and uncommon thing to have but those who possess it are treated like monsters as they are feared by those who don't possess it.

   Johnny didn't know what else to do but run into the forest with his daughter clenched in his arms. The doctors and nurses rallied up all the villagers to help search for the monster and its baby.

"We can't let those monsters live any longer!" shouted one of the nurses leading the villagers into the forest, chasing after the pair.

   Johnny knew that the villagers would eventually catch him and his daughter. So he found a hole at the roots of a tree and placed her inside. He then covered her up in a few fallen leafs and branches. She began to cry so to stop her he gave her a neckless that looked like a crescent moon.

"This will help you understand everything you'll need to know when you're older. Stay safe my precious daughter." Johnny said before running in front of the villagers to lure them away from his daughter.

   After some time passed, a female nine tailed fox appeared, passing through the forest. She had fur as white as the snow and eyes as blue as the ocean. She's a rare magic fox that has nine tails and the ability to speak. They are normally kind creatures but if you pose a threat to them they will not hesitate to kill you.

"Oh my, what do we have here?" she asked herself after she stumbled across the abandoned new born.

   The baby was scared at first and wanted to cry but after looking closer at the fox she stared to smile and laugh. The nine tailed fox was surprised by the babies reaction. She glanced around looking for the babies parents however she could not find a soul in sight. After a few minutes of waiting, she decided to take in the baby and raise it as her own, seeing as there was no other way for it to survive. She picked up the baby and brought her to a cave, where her little cub that was waiting for his mother to return.

"I'll call you Celesta," declared the fox as she laid her down beside her cub.

"I'm Nuria, your new mother," Nuria said softly to Celesta.

"Now Puck, treat Celesta as you would your sister," Nuria said while facing her little cub.

"Y-yes mother," Puck stuttered with a smile on his face, happy to now be the bigger brother who protects his younger siblings.

Hey everyone!! I just want to warn you that chapters 1-6 aren't the best since I wrote them before I started reading on wattpad and gretting to learn how to write better but! I promise you that from chapter 7 onwards it gets A LOT better! I just haven't had the time to fix chapters 1-6 yet but please hang in there and stick to the end!
