Celesta's POV
I snuggle back into a ball after Puck leaves, pulling the tattered cloth closer to my chest, trying to cover up all the holes that will let the cold air in. It's a lot colder now that Puck left, I wish he'd hurry up and come back already.
A few minutes after that thought I hear rustling in bushes outside the cave. I lazily lift my upper body from the ground and stare at the entrance expecting to see Puck enter but... Something isn't right. It's too quiet. If it were Puck, I'd already be hearing him complain about getting leafs all over his fur from the bushes. He's a neat freak, what can you do?
It's not Puck. But then what is it? A rabbit? No, it's too early for them to be up... What or more like who is it?
"Puck?" I call out, knowing it's not him.
When I'm met with silence I instantly jump to my feet on high alert, my hands hovering over my knifes hid under my tattered skirt, held on my thighs by strings.
I stay still, not moving a muscle when more rustling breaks the silence. Three tall and well built men, all covering there faces with masks, walk through the entrance of the cave. My body tenses at the sight but relaxes as I feel my knifes through the fabric of my shirt.
"Dude, you woke her up!" One of the men whisper shouts at another.
"I didn't mean to!" The other replies.
As they're bickering to themselves, I glance around the cave looking for a way out. Shit! I should have thought of making an escape route in the cave for this kind of situations. But how the heck was I supposed to know that three men were gonna barge in here? What do they want? How did they even get in the forest without Puck noticing them?
"Well this is going to make it harder to kidnap her!" The first man whisper shouts again.
Kidnap? For what reason? Come on! Where's Puck when you need him!
"Let's just get it over with" the man that hasn't uttered a word till now states as he approaches me, quickly closing the distance between us.
As he reaches out his hand to grab me, I grab it with my right hand, duck under his shoulder and pin his arm on his back causing him to groan in pain. I quickly push his arm higher up his back and stop after hearing a satisfying crack, signaling that I dislocated his shoulder.
I then turn my back on him and face the other two men who have confusion written all over their face.
"I knew she was supposed to be stronger and quicker then the average person but what was that?! It all happened so quick!" One of them whisper shouts to the other.
I take advantage of there confusion and quickly take out four daggers, two in each hand and aim them at man on the right, pinning his arms to the wall of the cave, the daggers piercing his top, scarily missing his skin. I then grab my bow and an arrow that are laying aimlessly on the ground and aim at the last man who hasn't moved an inch.
"Wow wow wow, take it easy there," he says, putting his hands up in front of him.
"We're not going to hurt you. Just calm down," he continues, trying to reassure me.
"No, you just wanted to kidnap me," I snarl back at him, a scowl appearing on my face to show my distaste and disgust.
"Well... We have our reasons," he replies, looking at something behind me.
I give him a confused look and then realise what he's looking at. The first man I attacked! Shit! I didn't restrain him!
But before I could turn, I felt a blade stab me in the belly. A scream escapes my mouth unintentionally as I flop to the ground, dropping my bow and arrow and clutching my wound. I try applying as much pressure as I can but it doesn't stop the blood from flowing."He said he wanted her unharmed! How are you going to explain to him that you stabbed her!" The man still pinned to the wall shouts, not caring if he attracts unwanted attention.
"Ya but she dislocated my shoulder and was going to shoot ye!" He shouts back.
"If she wanted to shoot us, I'm more then sure she would have already!" He defends, looking down at me with worry which I reply with a deadly glare.
"Oh shut up Shane! How would know? She could have just missed when she shot at you!" The man behind me shouts, causing me to fill with anger.
I didn't miss my target. I was truly not trying to kill them, not even harm them too much but I've changed my mind.
I slowly and unnoticeably remove my right hand from my wound and grab my last dagger from behind my back, under my tattered shirt and swiftly but painfully make my way behind the man with the dislocated shoulder. I then stab his left arm, which he used to stab me, cutting through one of his tendons, leave his arm immobilised. I then kick him to the ground in front of me, still clutching my wound with my left hand, and glare harshly at the man still standing at the entrance of the cave. He puts his hands up in front of him again, hoping I'll spare him but I won't be made stupid twice in one day. I throw my last dagger with so much force at one of his raised arms that it pierces his skin so deep that the tip of the dagger came out on the other side of his arm.
I suddenly winch at the amount of pain throwing the dagger caused me and I once again flop to the ground. Tears threaten to fall but I hold them back with all my might.
"You bitch!" I hear him shout as I raise my head to look at him.
I smirk at him, pleased by the pain I've caused him but before I could react he runs to me and kicks me in the belly, causing me to flying across the cave. The kick causes blood to rush to my wound and I starting to bleed really badly. I attempt to stop the bleeding even a little by applying as much pressure as I can to the wound but the only thing that does is make me hiss in more pain.
"Brandon stop!" The guy who assume is named Shane shouts, trying to calm down his team mate.
A loud growl suddenly fills the cave and I quickly look at the entrance only to find Puck. His face full with anger and worry, tears streaming down his face. I no longer hold back my tears and let them flow at the sight of him. This makes him angrier and he pounces at who I assume to be Brandon. Puck chomps down on Brandon's leg causing him to fall to the ground and groan in pain. He starts kicking Puck with his other leg in an attempt to get him off but this just makes Puck tighten his grip. As I stumble to my feet and attempt to make my way to Puck I stop as I hear someone curse from the cave's entrance. Great! More visitors!
"Oh shit! I knew this would happen!"
I lift my head to see a familiar figure rush over to Puck to help him. He draws his sword and stabs Brandon in both legs, immobilising them, making sure not to kill him but hurt him enough that he wouldn't escape.
I try to make my way over to them but my vision suddenly begins to blur and before I knew it, I've lost my balance and am falling to the ground. I shut my eyes tightly, bracing myself for the hard impact and unbearable pain to come, but it never came. I struggle to open my eyes to see why that is, but my blurry vision prevents me from seeing anything. All I hear is a familiar voice cry out my name before the darkness consumes me.
