Mat's POV

Why is Puck running? No... They couldn't possibly have gotten to her already, could they?

I'm running after Puck as fast as I can but I can't seem to catch up. He just keeps running faster and faster and I'm losing him. He finally vanishes from my sight and I just keep running in the same direction, hoping and praying I'm going the right way. After a few more minutes of running I spot the cave I assume Puck was heading to. Thank goddess!

As I get to the caves entrance, I don't even get a chance to catch my breath,
when I see Puck chomping down on a mans leg.

"Oh shit! I knew this would happen!" I blurt out, quickly reaching for my sword and plunging it in both of the mans legs, preventing him from moving around freely.

I then scan the cave for Celesta and am found speechless at what I see. She's covered in blood and dirt and can barely keep herself up. Her eyes seem to be swollen and what I assume to be tears, are rolling down her cheeks. I watch as her legs give out on her and she starts to plunge to the ground, but I swiftly make my way to her and catch her at the last moment. Worry and fear consume my face and I'm left shaking her, patting her cheeks lightly and constantly call out her name. Once I see that she's not responding, my eyes instantly glance from her now closed ones, to the source of the red blood. The blood is gushing out of what I can tell to be a stab wound. As soon as I come to that conclusion, I hear a voice call out to me.

"Hey dude, she okay?"

My fear and worry instantly turn to hatred  and anger upon hearing that voice and I carefully place Celesta on the ground before grabbing my sword that I had dropped earlier and making my way to the man pinned on the wall, anger and hatred completely consuming my entire being.

"IS SHE OKAY?! DOES SHE LOOK FUCKEN OKAY TO YOU?!?!" I shout in his face, stabbing the wall right beside his head.

He flinches before taking a big gulp and staring right into my eyes.

"Look, I'm not the one that hurt her. I told the dude we needed her unharmed but he lost his temper, if your gonna shout at someone, shout at him," he explains, glancing to a third guy that has blood flowing from his arm.

I retrieve my sword from the wall and head to the third guy on the ground.
My face is blank, showing no emotion as the tip of my sword scraps the ground behind me. He starts backing away but that doesn't do him much good. As I reach him I slash his throat with a swing of my sword, causing him to flop on the ground, lifeless. I don't flinch at all as the blood squirts on me, covering part of my face. I turn to face the man I had stabbed in the legs and without hesitation I stab him in the chest, killing him instantly.

I turn to glance at Celesta and see Puck standing over her in a protective position, probably to protect her from me. I don't blame him though, I would too, after seeing someone effortlessly kill two people right in front of him. Whenever I lose control of my emotions my eyes seem to change. They change from their calming green colour to the darkest green you've ever seen and they look like the eyes of a serial killer. It's almost like I have a split personality and I'm always trying to keep my eyes at bay but it's exhausting.

"I DIDN'T TELL YOU TO KILL HIM!" I hear the man shouting.

I snap out of my gaze on Celesta and make my way to the man, who's pinned to the wall by what I assume to Celesta's daggers. I remove the dagger pinning his left arm to the wall and quickly penetrate the skin of his arm, pinning him back to the wall and causing him to scream in agony. I then repeat this to his right arm, causing him to scream again.

"Who sent you," I question him, my voice deep and angry, but I make sure to show no emotion on my face.

I wait and wait but don't get a response so I grab one of the daggers and twist it, causing him even more pain.

"Who. Sent. You." I repeat, my voice loud and clear.

"K-K-King Kristofer!" He finally spits outs, tears running down his face from the pain.

My eyes widen and my body is consumed by fear and rage. Why him? Why Kristofer?! Of all the people in the world, why did he have to find her so soon?!

I quickly snap out of my thoughts and pull out one of the daggers pinning the man to the wall. I then swirl on my heels and quickly make my way to Celesta. Puck keeps growling louder and louder as I quickly close the distance between us until I stop an inch away form them.

"Back off or you'll regret it!" Puck growls as he sinks lower in his stance, his fur lightly brushing off Celesta.

"We don't have time for this Puck! I need to treat her wounds! Do you want her to die?!" I practically shout at him, showing how impatient I was.

"She doesn't need your treatment!" Puck practically snarls back at me as he hoists Celesta onto his back and starts backing out of the cave, his eyes fixated on me while the exit is in the opposite direction.

"Puck. I'm not messing around here, she needs medical attention," I say calmly, my eyes changing back to their grassy green colour as I cautiously approach him. However every time I take a step forward, he takes a step back.

Suddenly Puck stops in his tracks as fear seems to consume him. He starts to whimper and looks me dead in the eye.

"She stopped breathing." I barely hear the words come out of his mouth.

That instance, I ran to him and gently lift Celesta off his back and on the ground. I quickly check for a pulse but find none. My eyes then travel to her knife wound from earlier, blood still gushing out of it and I now realise how deep the wound actually was. I start putting pressure on the wound and shout to Puck to come help me. He takes over putting pressure on the wound with his paws as I start giving her mouth to mouth. I hear a growl but ignore it as I pump at her chest, trying to restart her heart. I repeat this over and over agin but I don't seem to be getting any response... This can't be happening!
