(5) The Truth

~~Harry's POV~~

I call out to Maddie as she walks up the stairs, she doesn't say a word. The phones start ringing and I know that everyone has seen it. I know she is upset as I hear our bedroom door slam. I don't know how this happened, we haven't told anyone about her not being able to get pregnant. Only are close friends and our family know about the baby. Everything has been going so great. What the fuck is wrong with people?

The phone buzzes non-stop beside me and I grab it throwing it, shattering the screen on the telly. I stand and make my way to our room and I am happy that the door isn't locked. I turn the handle and I see Maddie just sitting in the middle of the floor. Her knees to her chest with her head resting on top of them. I walk over and sit beside her as she stares at the wall, I don't see a single tear and I sigh. I don't say a word as I place my hand on her, but she pushes it off. Her eyes find mine and I have never seen her look the way she does now.

"How could you?" She says and I don't know why she is saying this. "How could you tell someone..... Someone who would run to the media?" I glare at her. She thinks I did this?

"I don't know why you think I did this Maddie." I look straight at her as she tries to hold back her tears.

"Me and you Harry! We are the only ones who knew!" She screams at me and for the first time since I have known her I see hate and disgust in her eyes.

"I haven't spoken a word about this to anyone and I'm hurt that you think I did." I say honestly I would never say anything to anyone!

"How do they know then Harry? Huh? They said a source close to us told them that. Who was it Harry?" The land line rings non-stop as she screams at me. She stands leaving me there, picking up the phone and she chucks it and it shatters against the wall. "I didn't think we were having problems, I thought we were happy!" She screams like she has never screamed before. The tears she was fighting are now soaking into her shirt. She runs her hands over her face grabbing her hair when she's done. I stand walking over to her and grabbing her in my arms.

"I am happy Maddie. I couldn't be more happy. I didn't say anything I swear to you. I don't know who said that shit, you know how they get. They always dig for shit, trying to find anything." She looks at me and I see her break like she were a twig on a branch.

"They made it sound like I chose to kill our baby!" She sobs out and leans into me and I wrap my arms around her as I fight back my tears. "I didn't Harry." She just weeps into me and I let the tears slip down my cheeks. We have made so much progress these past months and these assholes just tore it all apart.

"I know baby." I bend down and pick her up and walk over to our bed sitting down. I hold her in my arms as my heart hurts from the lies they told. I could never be unhappy with her. "Listen love don't let it break you." I softly say into her hair, her arms wrap tightly around me.

"I don't want you to be unhappy Harry." I lick my lips as I pull her face up to mine.

"No love I'm not trust me ok." She nods and I place a small kiss on her lips. I swear I will find out who leaked this and I will have their ass. I hear the buzz from the front gate and Maddie looks up. I don't want to move but I cant leave them out there. "You want to go with me love?" She nods and I stand with her in my arms as we make our way to get her pizza.

I sit here on the sofa watching Maddie as she sleeps. I'm so pissed off about the news earlier. We haven't talked to anyone and the phones still ring. I know I need to talk to mum she keeps calling. I raise Maddie's head and place a pillow under her. I walk to the kitchen and sit on the stool with my phone in my hands. I know mum is going to be mad because we didn't tell her and she had to find out like this. I push the call button and wait for her to answer and she does on the third ring. "Harry I have been calling for the past four hours."
