"Okay class, it's time to pass your work forward," Regina Says and for the first time in the class, Emma realized what she drew. A tightness came over her chest as if someone was ringing her out like she was a wet washcloth. Her breathing gets heavy and it feels like suddenly there was an elephant sitting on her chest using her as a pillow. The panic attack is starting Emma thought to herself. Emma starts having convulsions. her breath becomes very short and very hard to breathe in. "Miss Swan, are you ok?" Regina asked in her teacher voice. Emma couldn't answer. "Emma" Regina asked again getting up from her desk to make her way over to Emma. "Emma Swan, Are you alright?" Emma used all the strength she could muster up to shake her head no. "I-I Can't b-b-breath," Emma says in  between breaths as she starts hyperventilating. Regina tried to keep her teacher roll but this was scaring her. All she wants to do is pull Emma in her lap and rock her till she feels better, but that would look weird to the other children. "Alright everyone i need you all to leave the class. Miss Swan will be alright." everyone looks around at each other but no one moves a muscle. "I said everyone out now or you all get a months worth of detention. NOW!" Regina says with much more force in her voice. everyone moves around grabs their belongings and looks back at the teacher and Emma before making their way out of the classroom. Regina waiting till everyone left and the door closed to pull Emma into a hug. "It's ok, I'm here. I'm here." Between the crying and hyperventilating Emma falls from Regina's grip and falls to the floor. Regina gets down with her pulling her in closer. "Breath Emma, I need you to breathe. In and out. In and out." Regina says trying to help her the best way she knew how. Emma tried doing as she is told but no matter how much air she was breathing in it felt like it wasn't enough. "It's not working. Why isn't it working." Emma asked. Before she let Regina answer Emma jumped up and ran out of the class and off school grounds to the only place where she feels safe. She runs past Mary Margret ignoring her calls. "Got to get to the woods." was the only thing she could hear. She got to the woods and didn't stop until she tripped and just curled up on the forest floor.

Emma didn't even bother to get up. She just layed there until she felt arms wrap around her pulling her from her trance. Still breathing heavy rolls over to see Mary Margret's face hovering over her. "It's ok sweety, I'm here. Can you tell me what brought all this on? She asked Emma wondering if she would even be able to speak yet. "In art class, we had to draw something representing sadness and I drew something from my past that really scares me." Mary Margret just nodded her head.  "can you tell me." She asked and Emma shook her head fast. "Mom... it's getting hard to breath." Emma says and then the world around her went black.

Mary Margret rushes Emma to the hospital. When the doctor gets her stable Mary Margret goes out to call Miss Mills.  Regina was sitting at her desk when her phone went off. "Hello this is Regina Mills." She said as she answered her phone.

Mary Margret: "Yes hi, this is Mary Margret, Emma's foster mom. I was wondering if you could tell me what happened today? She ran into the woods and blacked out. All I got was she drew something and that was it."

Regina: "Yes, I am sorry but this is all my fault."
Regina says as she paces the room.  "I've been wanting to see how the kids draw emotion. Yesterday was happiness and today was sadness. I'm so very sorry. I never thought that she would draw that bastard. "

Mary Margret sighed "It's not your fault Regina, Wait, what bastard are you talking about?"

Regina: One of her old foster dads. Where is she?"

Mary Margret: Storybrooke Hospital. you can come see if you would like!"

Regina: Of course, thank you."

Regina hung up the phone and went to the office to ask for the day off due to an emergency. Of course, they let her go. Regina never misses work. She is always there early and stays late most days. Regina felt like she couldn't get to the hospital fast enough. She gets there and rushes to the room number that Mary Margret had texted her while she was driving to the hospital. Regina stopped dead in her tracks when she sees Emma hooked up to tubes. "What happened?" Regina said with a shaky breath. Mary Margret stood up. "She passed out and her heart is still beating she just couldn't breathe. They said She went into respiratory failure They said this panic attack caused it.  The Ventilator is to help her breathe. The doctor said hopefully that all she needs is rest and she should be good.." All Regina could do is stare.

Two days go by and Regina was there every chance she could get. Feeling guilty that the assignment she gave out caused this. "We are going to head home for the night. Please Regina eat something and get some rest." Mary Margret said in a motherly voice. Regina nodded not really acknowledging what she is saying. In truth, Regina hasn't been eating or sleeping much in the last three days. Regina grabs Emma's hand and just sobs. "I'm sorry for doing this to you." Regina cried laying her head on Emma's hospital bed.

a few hours go by and Emma's eyes shoot open and she squeezes Regina's hand making her jump awake. "Hey hey hey, no. Don't move baby. It's ok. Let me go get a doctor or a nurse." Regina ran out of the room.  Emma has no recollection of what happened and why she is in the hospital. Emma came back in with a doctor. "Hello Miss Swan, I'm doc, the doctor." "How original" Emma thought to herself "We are going to take you off the Ventilator. "That must be better, you might not be able to talk for a few hours, please do not strain yourself." He said as the nurses were checking her Vitals. "Well, your vitals are looking good. You might be able to go home soon." He said as he walked out the door and the nurses followed him. Emma turns to look at Regina and she smiled. Regina had tears threatening to fall as she smiles back at Emma relieved that she is ok.
