Chapter 26

         Emma walks down stairs nervous only too have her hear almost stop right there in her track, Emma mouth went dry looking at her girlfriend wearing that tight dress. Emma gave Regina a watered down smile. Regina gave the same unsatisfying smile. "Hey" Emma said. "Hi" Regina said. Both not really knowing if they should show emotion or a connection in fears of what Emma's parents would do. Snow looked at the two and looked at her husband. "Charming, why don't we go outside and leave them to talk."Snow asked seeing the tension building up.  Charming did as snow asked, they walked  to the back yard and closed the door. Emma looked at her beautiful girlfriend. "You look so beautiful" Regina smiled. "As do you swan." Emma looked around wanting to be anywhere but here. "Look, I am so sorry that they have found out about us, i swear i didn't mean to tell them. My mom figured it out. I don't want this to ruin our relationship and please Gina... don't break up with me over this I need y-" Emma says as She gets cut off with Regina smashing their lips together. Emma is shocked but it takes her less than 5 seconds to respond to Regina's lips. She loved how perfectly molded their lips were. Like their lips were made for each others/ Regina finally pulled away. "I'm sorry if I made you feel like I wanted to break up with you, I will say I wasn't wanting your parents finding out about us, but that is not enough to run me off dear. I can handle a lot more than you think, I'm not going to run off like that. In the little time that we have known each other I have gowned so fond of you. Trust me when I say that. You have turned my world upside down, in the best way, and I'm scared that it will flip back and I don't want that. I love you so very much Emma and I don't want anything to ruin this." Emma couldn't help but smile. This is what she had wanted to hear for quite some time now.Regina statement just relieved so much anxiety from Emma's mind.   Emma starting crying. "if that't not what you wanted to hear, im sorry." Emma chuckled while she was still crying and shaking her head. "I was scared that you didn't feel as I did I thought that my parents knowing would break us up. I have never had anything to call my own really until i met my parents and you,  And I am going to try and do everything to protect what's mine. And Mills... your mine. And I am not ever letting you go!" Emma said while grabbing Regina and pulling her into a kiss. But it wasn't just any kiss. It was a mind blowing full of love showing Regina that she scared as hell to lose the one person that has truly wanted her for her for the first time. They were so into the kiss they didn't hear the back door open and they didn't break away from the kiss till snow cleared her throat. "Ugh sorry but have to check on the food before it burns."Snow walked into the kitchen laughing at how red her daughters face is. Snow finished cooking and set the table. "Would you two love birds like to join us.?" Emma just laughed and dragged Regina to the table by her hands. "So I hope that awkwardness wasn't because of me and charming?" Emma mom asked. Regina and Emma exchanged looks. "No" "Yes" Emma and Regina said at the same time. "Well yes and no... Yes because you guys know of us now and no because it was mostly me not knowing how to communicate!" Emma explained. Snow sighed, "Look, we've talked to Emma about this, Even know I am not 100% ok with this relationship, you make my babygirl happy, and as a mother, that is my the only thing I can really hope for in her life. So I support this relationship and wont tell anyone. You just have to promise me that you don't break her heart." Regina looked at snow with these eyes that Emma has seen several times. She looked at her with such compassion. "I will try my very best to not break her heart. Snow, you know me. We've known each other for quite some time. Yes it is very weird for me that I am dating your daughter, but my heart wants what it wants and I can't help that. But I will try my very best to make you see that I am not here to hurt her, only to love her." Regina looked at Emma and smiled. Emma smiled thinking how lucky she was for one to have great parents that respects her decision! "How lucky am I... I love you guys!" She said and the all ate. When they talked it was all small talk. Regina cleared her throat "That was a lovely dinner Snow, taste very good, Um, could I have a minute alone with you? Maybe outback?" Snow nodded getting up and kissing her husband on the head. "Ill be right back you to." Snow said. Regina smiled at Emma. She became very nervouse, what could they be talking about. I mean yeah I guess they were friends before they started dating. She was pulled out of her thoughts by her father. "so Princess, you and Miss Mills." Emma smiled "Yeah, sorry for not telling you guys, I wanted to so bad, i was  just scared , scared that you guys would make us break up or that she would lose her job., I just hated keeping something like this from you guys." She gave him her daddy's girl eyes and he just melted. "oh princess it's OK, I understand why you did it, hell I would have done it too. So Winter break is coming next week... you excited to be out of school for a while." Emma paused and nodded her head. Speaking of school... how was it today?" Emma looked at him and sighed. "It was really hard. People looked at me like they knew what happened. It just became way to much. Do I have to go back tomorrow?" David looked like he was really thinking it over. "Well princess, you know you need to graduate to go to college, but if you don't think you can handle it then no I guess not, but we will  talk it over with Regina and your mom, and see what they have to say on the matter ok." Emma nodded her head. "Yes dad.. speaking of Gina and mom, what do you think they are talking about?" David chuckled. "When it comes to your mother, I have no clue." The both just started laughing. Mean while out back. "hey Regi... what's up?' Regina played with her hands. It's what she does when she is nervous. "So I have to go to new York for winter break... and you are well aware that she has been wanting to go for quite some time, I have a family matter to attend to and will be there all break and I know it probably will take you some time to trust me with her after what happened... but I was wondering if  you would let me take her, I will pay for her ticket and everything, and don't worry about her school and how far behind she is... I've been talking to the teachers and they working with me to get her all caught up. And I know I rambling on and on, it what I do when I'm nervous and i-" "whoa, slow down." Snow laughed. "I want her here for winter break but she has been saying that she wants to go to new york and that has been her dream. she deserves the world and for all her dreams to come true after everything she has been through. so I am going to say yes. She may go with you, and Regi, I trust you completely. Do you think I would let you date my daughter if I didn't, what happened was not your fault even though you blame yourself, you really shouldn't.  And about her school work, thank you. I know that coming back has to be hard for her thankfully she only has 2 more days left before winter break... so when will you guys be leaving. And I can buy her plane ticket." Regina smiled. "I know you can... but the tickets already bought and paid for... mother bought me two tickets bc when I planed the trip I was seeing someone else. So there is nothing to worry about.and the tickets are for Friday after school." Snow just smiled. "well shall we go tell her the good news." Regina nodded and headed back inside to find the kitchen cleaned and no Emma or David to be seen. "Where are they" Regina asked. "I think I know." Snow said with a hint of a smile. Snow walked into the living room and heard the two laughing. "Will you guys ever stop being childish." Snow laughed seeing as they made a giant tent looking thing out of blankets and pillows and turned the dvd player on the opening credits to "The little mermaid" Was playing. "Oh mother don't you want to join us." Snow chuckled. "Of course, I love our Movie nights."  As Snow tried to walk in the fort  Emma put her arms in front of the tent. "What's the secret password?" Snow thought about it and remembered something that will made her move real quick. "Tacos." Emma scrunched up her face. "Gross mom." Snow snuck past her. Regina just starred at them like they were crazy. 'Well Gina, are you coming or not?" Regina thought for a second. "Do I need secret password to get it." Emma smiled. "Nope, all I require is a kiss from you!" She smiled and made her way to Emma. Got on her knees and looked her in the eyes. "I have a surprise for you" And before Emma could answer. She kissed her and moved her to the side to enter the fort thing. Emma just sat there and thought for a second. "Come on princess we are going to start the movie" her dad said. Emma smiled and went in her fort and cuddled up close to Regina and started watching the movie!
