Two women and one man sat in a fancy room around a circular table. They all wore rich luxurious clothing and blank faces. The air was tense before the silence was finally broken.
"So how is your child?" One woman spoke.
"He has been well of late but only the gods know how long it will last." The other spoke.
"I see, and this Berwald, he can teach my son?"
"Yes, he was trained to teach and protect ever since he was a young man. My son can never leave his side."
"After the Russians pulled what they did 14 years ago, I do not blame you, I'm sure I would have done the same in your position."
"Then you understand. You already are united with Norway and Iceland because of the sons, and I have my allegiance with Sweden. So why not bring the Nordic countries together. We can hold off against the Russians or anyone else that bothers to attack."
"Of course. But is this good for us, or just back up care for your son?"
"A little bit of both couldn't hurt." The Finnish queen put in.
"I think it's a splendid plan." The Danish queen nodded. "Mikkel needs someone to give him real responsibilities, having a wife to look after would serve him some good. Then perhaps the Swede will not have to be tied to the prince and can choose his own path."
"We would have to see, I trust your son for protection however Berwald was trained only for the care of my son, trying to teach Mikkel that would take a great amount of time." The bearded Fin explained.
"Yes, I think that's something I'm willing to see put into action to strengthen our numbers." The Danish queen decided. "Then I think it is settled. Berwald will train my son to be king, he will take on Tina as a wife, and we will finally be connected."
"I shall write Berwald at once." The Finnish king smiled.
"I will tell Mikkel that it is time." The Queen said.
The royal families departed the room and began their plans.
