Lukas and Emil watched as Mikkel instructed a team of men to take the north, south, east and west sides of Denmark in search of the Queen.
"Knock on every door if you must, but do NOT hurt anyone in this search..... I have a feeling anyone keeping her will either have been manipulated or forced, either way it is not their fault, my people will not suffer for my mother's actions."
when the men were dismissed Lukas stood by his side. "You are doing very well." He complimented.
"Naturally." Mikkel smiled. "But I can't shake this bad feeling." He admitted. "And the coronation is still being planned." He stressed.
"And so it should be. You are our leader now, your mother cannot get in the way of that no matter what she tries, just remember the other scandinavian kings are just a messenger away." Lukas reassured.
"No, we won't make ourselves look weak, we'll find her on our own and we'll use the coronation as a distraction."
Lukas's breath was taken by the prince's sudden maturity, he was acting like a fine king, and perhaps the push from his mother was what he needed.
"Then shall we go help with the colour scheme?" Lukas asked.
Mikkel turned and looked past Lukas to Emil who sat on the ground bouncing around his stuffed puffin toy.
"No, I have something I want to do first." Mikkel smiled.

The queen was now dressed and sipping Russian tea in front of the king.
"So, all we have to do, is kill Lukas and the finnish king, poison Tino, and force the two to wed?"Ivan asked.
"Once the king is dead Tino will be forced to take the thrown, however if he is too ill then they will need my son. With lukas out of my sons way he will have no choice, and when they are united I will gladly hand over the keys to both."
"What of Berwald?" Ivan asked.
"What of him?"
"You underestimate him."
"Then we will kill him as well, anymore dumb questions?" The queen snapped.
"Just one." Ivan tilted his head. "What will you get from this."
The queen set down her tea gently and smiled wickedly at the Russian king. "Revenge."

Mikkel sat across from Lukas and Emil in a small wooden sailboat. He slowed into the irons and tied up the sail letting the boat drift calmly. The sun shimmered against the oceans ripples and for once they felt at peace.
"It's been a long time since we ran away and hijacked a boat." Mikkel laughed.
"That was when your father was around, these boats are yours now so it's technically not hijacking." Lukas said straight faced.
"Duh." Emil cooed.
"Yeah, very funny! Just gang up on me!" The dane said dramatically.
Lukas said nothing at first but then looked up at the clear sky. "You never told me what you wanted to talk about." He reminded.
"I know."
Mikkel stood up and moved forward rocking the boat. Lukas's serious eyes became bewildered and frightened as the boat shifted.
"Be careful." He scolded.
But his tone was stolen when the man before him knelt down and took his hand in his.
"Lukas." Mikkel grew serious. "We have been together a long time.... The three of us."
"Y-yes." Lukas blushed trying to regain his cool.
"Well in that time we have gotten to know each other very well and I just thought it was about time to-"
The dane was stopped when little Emil stood up and tried to walk away from the conversation to the other side of the small boat. As he did the boat rocked and without thinking Mikkel stood fast to try to stop Emil but when he moved the boat rocked hard and capsized. The three were flung into the ocean. The arose in the still water and Mikkel found Emil keeping him above the small waves.
"Mikkel!" Lukas snapped.
"I love you Lukas!" Mikkel's voice frightened all three of them. "I... I mean... Yeah! That's what I came out here to tell you!"
Lukas floated there with his head down in frustration. His serious eyes looked frustrated, but then, a wide smile cracked his lips and the boy actually began to laugh.
"You capsized our boat for that?!" He laughed. "Oh you really are an idiot. Help me flip this over!"
Mikkel looked and Emil confused who was giggling just the same. "Stupid Mikkel." The boy smiled.
The poor confused prince sighed and swam towards the boat. "So does this mean you don't feel the same?" He called from the other side.
"If you have to ask you really are an idiot....." Lukas glared throwing the rope over the side of the boat for mikkel to catch.
Mikkel swam Emil to the mast. "hold onto this." He instructed.
Lukas climbed up the side and was joined by Mikkel. They held the rope and together used their weight to pull the boat top side. The emerged and swam back to the boat. Mikkel pushed Lukas up so he could get into the boat. Then the boy turned around and yanked mikkel in as well. But as he did he pulled to hard and Mikkel flew into Lukas's arms causing mikkel to fall on top of Lukas. The stared at each other, drenched in water. Mikkel blushed and was about to get off of the Pale eyes male under him until the blonde pulled him closer landing a simple kiss on the prince's lips.
"Of course I feel the same." He whispered.
Mikkel smiled and slowly leaned in for a deeper more passionate kiss, and as he did he heard the slight sound of. "EWWWW!" Come from Emil.
Mikkel let a huge grin cross his face as he looked at the boy. "What wrong Emil? Are you Jelly? Do you want one too?!" He played.
"Ew no!"
"Here I come!!"
"Mikkel we are gonna capsize again!"
