The next day Berwald stood in a room with Tino and Mikkel reading from a thick leather books.
"Why do we have to learn German, it's not like we're gonna be meeting any Germans." Mikkel whined.
"Berwald maybe we can catch up on our English? Or French?" Tino said trying to help out the spoiled prince.
"Or we could learn nothing and you could let me go back to my regular studies." The Dane challenged.
"What w're ya learnin' before?" Berwald asked.
"Hand to hand combat."
Mikkel knew the Finnish prince in his health would not be able or allowed to practice any type of fighting. So he thought it would be a good way to prove the group sessions would never work. Then he could go back to training with Lukas. However the tall swede was not so easily swayed.
"Outside." He said leaving for the door.
Tino stood up and followed the large male and Mikkel surprisingly obeyed him. They went out onto a patch of sand laid for a soft land to a heavy blow. The giant removed his cloak and the pale white shirt he wore beneath it became translucent in the sun showing a fully built man underneath. The Dane did not let that slow him down. He removed his thick royal clothes to leave him in just his trousers. Tino giggled childishly and the swede crossed his arms unimpressed.
"What? I like that outfit! I'm not getting it torn." The Dane defended.
"Come." Berwald taunted.
The prince snickered and ran at the larger male striking a fist towards his face only for it to be caught and twisted around his back. The swede struck the back of Mikkel's knees making them collapse into the sand. Berwald let him go.
"Too open. Too stupid. "
Tino couldn't help but giggle as he watched his massive tutor take down the cocky prince. The Dane stood up again and tried for the Swede only to be flipped onto his back. As he hit the sand Tino heard the brushing of grass behind him. He turned to see Lukas padding through the field to join the prince.
"How's he doing?" He said with his usual unemotional look.
"Well.... he's not um.... well he." Tino couldn't find a positive thing to say so he just stopped.
"Hey moron. Why don't you use your brain? You must have one, it has to fit in that huge head." Lukas called to Mikkel.
The tall blonde male looked at his friend and smiled a large toothy grin.
"Oh I won't lose this time!" He said in full confidence.
Lukas rolled his eyes and the two watched Berwald stand still waiting for the headstrong prince to start again. The Dane stood back then made the exact same move but this time before Berwald could catch it he moved last minute around the taller man until he met a swift blow to his back and a harsh kick to the back of his knee. The tall man fell like a tree but caught himself turning over and kicking out the Danes legs as well. He got up and pinned the prince to the sand. However the anxious prince moved his free legs under the Swede and kicked up shocking the teacher long enough to push him off. Berwald stood up and tried to help his student to his feet only for him to stand up on his own.
"Better." He complimented.
"I'm just warming up!"
"He did this cause he didn't want to learn new languages." Tino told Lukas.
The young Norwegian male shook his head, he knew that the stubborn prince only was trying to get rid of Berwald by pushing away his usual teaching method. It would have been a good plan however Lukas knew Berwald was patient and a good tutor who maybe able to straighten Mikkel out.
"He's an idiot." Lukas sighed.
"Again spiderlegs!" Mikkel yelled at Ber.
"Okay." Berwald nodded.
