The New Moon Festival Champion

Next up was Maya against Ash, the air mage. When the bell sounded, Maya shot water towards Ash, but Ash froze it in mid air. In the process he had also created a blizzard. Then used a gust of wind to pin the ice, and Maya to the wall. Maya liquified the blizzard, and wrapped all the pools of water around Ash in a bubble. Ash retaliated the only way he knew how. He brought the oxygen level around Maya to zero. It was going to be a close battle, but one of them had to give.

Turns out that Maya can breathe under water so she just put some water around her head. It gave her a three second air window to breathe. Ash finally tapped in defeat and both magics were released. They each hit the floor gasping, and Ash was carried out on a stretcher. Since Maya has completed three rounds in a row, thanks to the help of Ruby, she was advanced to the back if the line to recover. Which meant two new players would enter the arena.

Up next they called Blue and Eteri into the arena. Id heard about Blue, he was apparently really good in battle. I couldn't wait to see him in action. Eteri created a tornando, and Blue froze it in the middle of the arena. Then Eteri created a gust of wind and the frozen tornado slowly toppled down. Landing through Blue, the audience gasped as they watched Blue return back to solid form. Blue then liquified the tornado and water locked Eteri. Eteri gathered the air from the water to give him more air as he swept Blue into the air. Blue just barely misted the ground, only surviving because he landed in a sphere of water. Blue finished off Eteri by freezing the water around him slowly. Eteri's one weakness was being claustrophobic. He tapped out quickly.

The games continued until the only two left standing were Maya and Blue. This was going to,be one hell of a match. They both had secrets up their sleeves, plus they were both water mages. I was excited to see who would win.

Blue started out by tidal waving Maya into an ocean of water. Maya parted it like the red sea, and sent it into the atmosphere. Then seconds later, it came crashing back down like hail, except this hail had been frozen in tiny spike like forms. A few of them sliced through Blue's clothes and skin before he was able to liquefy his body. Then Blue solidified his body into ice, and then used a blast of water to launch himself at Maya. She created a water wall to block Blue, but he shot through it like a knife cutting through butter. His ice form struck Maya, and sent her flying backwards. Not giving Maya a chance, Blue put her into an ice cage. Maya tried to break it, but Blue flooded the ice cage. which meant after a while, Maya would have no choice, but to tap. We waited in suspense for almost half an hour. Just as the bell was about to be called, Maya disappeared. Everyone looked around, and Blue even released the flooded cage from his control. Then out of nowhere, Maya appeared exactly in the place she had disappeared. Blue tried to act fast, yet he was too slow. Maya had locked him inside a block of jelly. Even when Blue turned into water, he couldn't move a muscle. After 40 minutes, the bell was called and Maya had won the games.

Maya came in first place, Blue was in second, and lastly Jade entered third. Maya chose the cash over a trip to the main land. Which wasn't surprising, only because I had heard that Maya won the games and visited the main land a few years ago. That gave Maya 10,000 tokens, Blue 5,000 tokens, and Jade 1,000 tokens. After being rewarded, the games were finally over.

Everyone slowly departed from the arena, and went outside back to the festival. I stayed and waited for everyone to leave, because i didnt like crowds. Ruby was distracted by Ryder. The twins were chatting between eachother, as well as Ari and Storm. So no one noticed that i wasnt with them. After most of the people had cleared out, i stood up and made my way towards the exit. Then the next thing i knew, i was shoved up against the wall. It was some random guy id never seen before.

He was tall and lean. He had bleach blonde hair, and sky blue eyes. His smirk turned into a grin, as he held my throat in his grasp. Then i noticed it. The dark roots and the cloudy eyes, making me gulp.
