Seven Realms

The Ball

I froze as the boys all had different looks on there faces. Ryder had the big brother "i will kick your ass" look, the twins looked about with a mischievous grin. Its like they were plotting this guys death. Then Ari lookwd nervous, and Storm looked confused. I was confused as well, so i kissed him on the cheek.

He grabbed my hand and kissed it before walking away. I blushed vibrantly, walking inside. The boys followed as they all stared at me. I walked slowly to Ruby's room on the second floor of the tent. I opened her door and she looked up from painting her toe nails. Ruby noticed my red cheeks, and she stood up from her bed quickly. She pointed directly to her bed and i sat as told. She sat in her make up chair, "Spill Scarlet" Ruby spoke promptly as i took a deep breath.

I told her all about the fire mage named Aiden. About how he was sweet and amazing, but i tried to avoid the whole dark mage problem. Yet i knew i could neber get anything past Ruby. "So how did you get out of breath? You said you met him when you were walking down the hall clinging to the sides when you got out of breath." i sighed deeply and closed my eyes. Slowly reopening them, and dove into the part about the dark mage.

Ruby's eyes went wide and her body turned pale. "You know what this means, dont you?" i nodded. She got out if her chair and walked over to me sitting on the bed. Ruby wrapped her arms around me, and engulfed me into a hug. I began to sob slowly into her shirt, trying my hardest to stay quiet. Once I was done crying, Ruby and I decided to get ready for the ball.

We decided not to tell the guys just yet. Ruby got into her fiery dress and i slipped on an equally appealing dress. Ruby did both of our make up because i was completely helpless when it came to fancy attire. I slipped on a pair of black pumps that Ruby had handed me, and grabbed the leather jacket in the closet. I was actually hoping to see Aiden tonight.

As we walked to the front room of the tent, the boys all gasped. Yet i couldn't help but notice how Ryder was undressing Ruby with his eyes. A small giggle escaped my lips, but i followed it with a cough so no one would notice. Although i knew from Storm's stare he heard me. I smiled, and then walked out of the tent, pulling Ruby along with me. The boys all followed close behind of course. Ruby and i locked our arms together, as we walked to the building they held the ball at. Well i should say castle because that's honestly closer to what it looks like.

It was made of stone, and painted white, having three floors. It was also a hotel, for people who wanted to stay the whole weekend on the island. Or to people who wanted to stay until the next festival, but few did that because you can't go hone again until the doors reopen. Which is during the new moon festival. As we walked up the steps Ruby and I got stares from everyone. Then unfortunately the boys staring at us got glares from Avani, Jordan, Ryder, Ari, and Storm.

Two handsome gentlemen, a fire mage and an earth mage, opened the double doors too the hotel. We all thanked them, even the boys, and then waltzed into the ball room. People stared, boys mouths dropped, and girls giggled. Then the craziest thing happened..

Aiden stepped out of the crowd, and held his hand out for me to take. A genuine smile played at my lips as i took hold of Aiden's hand. Slowly he walked me to the dance floor, and we danced to some slow classical music. Not long after, i saw Ryder with Ruby, and Storm dancing with Maya. Then after the floor had gotten more crowded, Ari had asked a pretty air mage to dance. They moved in sync, and it made me smile how connected they seemed. Then i noticed the twins looking off in the distance. I followed their gaze and noticed two girls, definately related, whisping and giggling.

I smirked and excused myself from dancing with Aiden. He looked sad, but nodded anyways. "I'll be right back, I promise." i said to reassure Aiden. He smiled and went towards the bar for a drink. I on the other hand, walked towards the two girls. The boys noticed me and grabbed my hand using a plant i brushed past. I just waved my hand at it and it went back to normal. When i reached the girls i smiled, and sat down at their table.
