It was actually quite in the halls. After Ross pushed a door open, another hall awaits us. I was tired of facing the same structures over and over again, repeating after we push open a door.

"I'll never get out," I whispered hopelessly, while Ross practically dragged my sulking body down the hall. "You will, Laur," Ross said fiercely. But I shook my head, my head drooping on his shoulder.

The three of us were silent as Anna opened another door, to greet another restrained hallway. My stomach did a turn, as I bent over, as if about to vomit. "Hurry," Ross urged Anna, as she ran across the hallway as softly and as slyly as possible.

Ross scurried after her. When Ross took a turn, he lost his balance and fell onto the slippery ground, my body on top of his. We stared at each other in silence before quickly scampering back up. "someone's coming," Anna whispered in fear as she took my hand.

As we rounded another corner, I heard it: the sound of many footsteps. "They must've brought lazers," Ross commented, pushing my back lightly so I could catch up to the blondie.

"GO!"

Suddenly, Ross wasn't behind me anymore. I felt alone, cold, and in the dark again, without his presence. I shrieked, and tried to lunge towards the Creators, but Anna held me back. "Are you insane?" She yelled at me, over the noise.

Lazers being used. Yelling, screaming. It sent me chills just to imagine one of them is Ross's, probably in pain. I stared wildly at Anna's hair whipping in the wind. My eyes trailed down her arms, and to her wrist and palm, where she held my hand, tight.

I used every ounce of my energy to shake out of her grip.

"No!" Anna cried as I slipped out of her grasp. I bolted to the hallway we just rounded. And there, was a real battle. My eyes immediately caught the familiar blonde mop of hair. He was kicking a man's stomach.

I made a mistake: I yelled out his name. Once he glanced up at me in confusion, one of the Creators took him down. "No!" I screamed, my heart speeding up like my chest is about to explode.

I raised both of my hands in rage, my fingers shaking. I let out a shout as I lunge at the group. Everything was blinded with anger as I screamed, thrashed, kick, at the others around me. I was powerful, I was unbeatable, I was fierce.

Two red splotches shot through the air, almost like a bullet, but inside it, was deadly fire. I took cover, my arms on top of my head, covering it, as I curled my body into a small ball. The sound of an explosion sounded, and I felt myself being tossed in the air, and my body was forced back, until my back landed on the floor, my legs and arms followed, and I laid there, unmoving.

My eyes slowly begin to open, but my eyelids stayed heavy. "She's waking up," I could make out Anna's voice, in a murmur. "I know," Scratchy Voice replied. His voice made me shoot up from my position.

My eyes meet a pair of grey ones, I squealed, and tumbled out of his arms. We both landed on the floor with a groan. "She needs to be with Ross," I could practically hear the roll of eyes in Anna's tone. She was correct; I did need to be with Ross, so badly, as if my life depended on it.

As I helped myself stand, I noticed the floor. It was rocky, black. It hurts my toes a little. But I didn't took a care to the pain. We're out, we finally escaped from hell. I was too shocked to celebrate; too skeptical to scream in triumph. And too worried to jump up with pride. Where was Ross?

I dusted my torn clothes, and whirled around. Ross was behind me, but his gaze did not meet mine. I frowned, and walked over to him. He kept his head lowered, refusing eye-contact with me. I frowned even more deeply. Suddenly, a finger tapped at my shoulder.

I twirled around in suprise. "He's embarrassed," Scratchy Voice jabbed his pointer finger to Ross. Before I asked why, Ross glanced up, and I skirt his face. It was burnt, scratched, red. I gasped, and my finger closed between Scratchy Voice's hand for something to hold on.

"What happened?" I faintly whispered.

"Oh it was nothing," Anna cuts in, her voice sharp. "You just escaped from me, away from protection, away from harm, and darted over to the battle, like a little hero or savior. And guess what? You got overwhelmed, and used your powers on them. And quite frankly, one of your little fire balls targeted Ross. The little red balls exploded, everyone fainted, expect for this fattie, who helped carry two unconscious fools out of the building. Nothing happened, Laura, nothing."

She stormed away, her huff exaggerated. I was frozen in shock. I had done that. I had hurt innocent people, like Scratchy Voice and Ross. The Creators were right; I was a monster.

"Just send me back in there," I whispered, pain lacing my voice. "It's where I belong, anyway." That's when Anna turned around, shaking uncontrollably to control her temper.

"I WILL NOT, LAURA!" She screamed in my face, spit flying around me. I just closed my eyes. I deserved this, I deserved to have hatred from everyone. Ross stepped infront of us, blocking Anna.

"I'll talk to her, thank you," he said quietly. Anna snarled at me and walked away. I gulped, and looked at Ross, opening my mouth to apologize.

"Save it, Laura," Ross said sternly.
