Chapter Nine

Chapter Nine:

Present

That was about it, My life story. I looked at the old man he stood up and walked across the room, he picked up a wooden box and walked back over to me. He opened the box and inside was a orb, it was glowing red with a center of white.

"This Jack is the Fire Core."

I was in aw, there was no way to describe the beauty of the Core. It was amazing, it reminded me of Annie, Then the memory's came flooding back, and I was forced to look away.

"Was that my fathers?" I asked looking at the man, not the core.

"Well, this was the Legendary core that your father used yes."

"But, how did this, how does it work?" I asked.

The man was confused by the question.

"Oh, right you were not taught the ways of the Cores, Basically the Cores come from crystals of Energy, they fell during the dinosaur age in forms of meteorites, They wiped out the dinosaurs, anyway inside even the smallest of crystals is pure energy, which through different forms of rituals, cutting and concentrating the continents inside, we were able to turn the crystal into a core, However the cores never lasted longer then a few hours, until we found a larger green crystal, we opened it and it created eight cores, each had one of the main elements, and these have lasted for the past, oh at least forty years,we call those cores the legendary cores, as they are the only ones that work. Each of the cores branch off to others, for example Fire branch's off to Lava. For all we know there could be more elements, but nobody here in the Sorcerer village has seen any others, only these eight. A Legendary core is much different from a regular core, because these cores are the most powerful cores, and there's only one for each element. They come from wherever the crystals come from, and each has been known to bond with it's user, the longer you have the core, the more you'll unlock from it, not to mention that the choas core is unable to stay in a physical form and often just finds it's own user."

I just nodded my head, I understood what he was saying, as if I was already told it before.

After a few moments of silence the man spoke.

"Jack, are you going to take the Core?" I ignored him and replied with a question.

"Why did you bring me here? Why would my Staff bring me here?" I stood up, I understand this was my past but it was stupid how would any of this help me get revenge on my adopted father.

"Jack, this is your home.Do you not want to be here?" The man asked.

I lowered my head, sure to not make eye contact.

"I want to find the man that made me kill her." I was just thinking on what he has been doing since Annie died. I wonder if he even bothered to look for me, the adopted son that killed his daughter. I don't believe that he made me kill her, I don't think he had anything to do with it. Since I was little, since Annie I have been having these blackouts. Annie was the first, Then Bill and Jacob, Then General Kenway and who knows how many others. I've counted at least ten different blackouts throughout my life. They all end the same way, everyone else dead around me, and I was fine.

Tim and Shadow knew what I could do, they knew the evil inside me. That's why they left me, Hell they could have left together for all I know.

But it doesn't matter, because all those lives aren't on me, there on him.

"Who is this man Jack?" Albert asked.

"He is my adopted father, his last name is Blade, first name Tony, but I need help finding him" I asked turning my attention back to Albert.

"Jack, what I'm about to show you, is a bit of a family secret, Your father hid it away, along with the letter on how to use it. He showed it to me, maybe weeks before he died. We call it the Seeking Orb."

He pulled out of his pocket a green and blue orb with what looked like a eye in the middle. It was like a giant marble that was the size of a apple.

And so he showed me the Seeking Orb, and how to use it. Basically it shows the owner whatever it is that he wants to see. However it can't be used for spying. It can go into the world wide web, which includes Government databases.

Once we were outside the wall I threw the orb into the air, spoke the unlock password. And instantly I could see them. Thousands of places, faces, and items flying at a crazy rate past my face. It was like I was inside the database. Then a person blocked all of it out.

It was a being of pure energy, He was just a glowing orb of power. Then he took form as a young male with blond hair and blue eyes.

"Hello, Jack. Oh I have been waiting, My name is Energy, at least that's what I go by now. When you have found the others, come to me. I am waiting" Then the man disappeared and the faces, places and items reappeared. I spoke into the air. "Guardpost Last name Blade" Then three faces appeared. One was a young man with brown eyes, green eyes and a very handsome features, alright, that was me

The second was another young man with short black hair and brown eyes who wore a devilsh grin, it was Tony's son Jeff Blade

The last was a older man, who I instantly regonaized as Tony Blade

The Orb turned off and I caught it.

"Did you find him?" Albert asked.

I smirked.

"His currently in the city, I couldn't get a exact location but he's heavily armed, and surrounded by Soilders that work for him."

I turned my attention to Albert.

"You got all that from the Orb, interesting." Albert stroked his Grey beard.

"I got the info from both the City's records, Hospital records and what appears to be the King's personal database" I turned to the long grass beside me, I picked up my backpack, Staff of Guidance and buckled up the top buckle on my jacket.

I threw the backpack on my back and turned towards the City.

"Jack, where are you going?" Albert asked.

I stopped and turned back towards him.

"Albert, I'll be back, but I have to stop him." I spoke determined.

""From what Jack?" Albert asked.

"From killing anyone else, he has enough manpower to overthrow the entire kingdom!" I spoke

I turned back towards the City. Far away I could see the thin outline of some of the skyscrapers.

"And what makes you think you can defeat his army when the entire kingdom wouldn't stand a chance!" Albert spoke.

"Because Albert, Im not just a man, I'm the walking mission of Tony's death, and I won't give up until he's dead" I spoke voice full of determination.

"Jack, take the Core at least!" I stopped, turned back around, I could tell the Core meant a lot to him. So I walked back over to the wooden box, opened the box, and threw the core and the bix inside my backpack.

I turned back to the City. Last time I was there was, well besides random bounty Hunter missions for money, I was with Tim and Shadow.

"Don't worry Albert, I'll be back." And I marched towards to the City, I didn't know where Tony was, or why he was in the city, but I knew I'd find him Because I came this far, and this is my moment
