Happy Birthday!

Kathy's P.O.V.

Mary and I fell asleep in my bed. It was nice I fell a sleep without worrying that Nate was gonna come into my room while I slept and no nightmares.

When I woke up Mary was still asleep. I got out of bed slowly and carefully. My whole body is so sore and hurts like hell. I limped my way to my closet and looked for joggers and a long sleeved shirt. Once I found them I went to the bathroom and did everything I needed to do. I walked out of the bathroom and headed over towards the door where my shoes were. I picked them up and opened the door slowly and walked out. Once I was out of the room I closed the door quietly and went down the stairs. When I got to the bottom of the stairs I remembered I left my phone on the night stand and my gym bag. So I put my shoes down and went back up stairs.

I walked passed all the rooms that the guys are sleeping in and hoped and prayed that they weren't up yet. When I got to my room I opened the door and tip toed in. I grabbed my phone and bag and left the room.  I walked passed all the guys and headed down the stairs.

Next thing I know I'm falling down the stairs. My arm reaching out to grab something to stop me from falling further. I scream like bloody murder as I went down the stairs. My back getting hit with force causing the pain that was already there to amplify.

"Princess!" I hear someone yell and I hear more footsteps going to catch up to me. I hit my head on the tile floor when I reach the bottom of the stairs. Memories of yesterday flashed in my mind.

"Please don't hit me again. I promise I-I won't tell just stop please!" I said as I tried to curl up in a ball and cried from all the pain.

"Elizabeth!" Someone yells but I ignore them and stay on the floor thinking of what I did wrong to deserve every bad thing that happened here. More footsteps were heard going down the stairs and someone pulling me up from the floor.

"Liz what happened? " Jason asks as he sets me down on the couch.

"Nothing. I just missed a step going down the stairs I'm fine. Now if you don't mind I have to be somewhere." I said and tried to stand up but pain shot up my left leg and fell back on the couch.

"Liz it's obvious that your not ok. Let me take you to the hospital to make sure you didn't break anything." Jason said as he went to pick me up.

"I said I'm fine. I'll just put some ice on it and it'll be good as new. Now leave me alone please." I said. Everyone leaving the living room but Jason still sitting where he was when he put me down.

"Kathy where did you get the bruises on your back. It's not from the stairs and when you were laying there you said 'Please don't hit me again. I promise I wont tell just stop please.' what do you mean? Is someone hurting you?" He asks as he moves closer to me.

"No it was a old memory from when I was younger. Remember that guy that you know." I said hoping he remembers and so I don't have to tell him.

"Oh. ok. Well maybe you should stay home and rest. You've been getting hurt a lot lately." He said as he stood up. I started to panic I can't stay home I have responsibilities.

"No I'm fine. I don't wanna miss practice and have the team fall behind. I'll see you when I get out.' I said. He turns and starts to walk out.

"Jason." I say he stops and turns around. "Thanks for everything." I said. He nods and leaves the room.

I grab my shoes, phone, bag, and keys and limp my way to the garage. I get in the car and grab the garage opener to open the door. After I open the door I drive to the gates and wait for one of the guards to open it. When the gates don't open I get out of the car and walk up to the gates. I look for the key pad and see that it's busted. I turn around and get back in my car. I change the shift gear to drive and ram into the gates.
