Fiona's POV:
As I sat at a table of a deli, I waited for Candice to show up. I couldn't help but wonder why she wanted me to meet up with her. So far, she's been nice to me. But I have this feeling that she has a motive with being a friend of mine.

When Candice arrived, she hugged me with a great smile and sat down across from me. Candice ordered a mixed berry smoothie. I ordered a turkey club sandwich with an iced cherry limeade.

"How are you, Fifi?" Candice asked.
"I'm doing good." I replied.
"You look kinda restless. Anyways, do you have your portion for Mya's party?" Candice asked.

I rolled my eyes at her 'restless' remark.

"Yeah." I said and handed her an envelope of money.

Candice thanked me and asked,

"How are things with you and Laurent?"
"What do you mean?" I replied and took a bite of my sandwich.
"Since you've been seeing him, you've haven't mentioned Laurent." Candice mentioned.

I started to sense Candice was more concern with what Laurent was doing with me. Instead of being concerned with me. She was coming off being plain nosy.

"With all due respect, what happens between Laurent and I, stays between us." I firmly answered.
"Oh really? Sounds like he's already gotten to you." Candice said with a bit of sarcasm.
"Yeah, really." I snapped back.
"You poor thing." Candice mumbled under her breath and shook her head.
"Excuse me?" I questioned getting a bit upset.
"You just don't get it. No matter what you do or what you say to Laurent. He's never going to be Mr. Right to you. There were many women before you. And you better believe there's more women after you." Candice said as she stared into my eyes.

At this point, I wanted to reach over this table and rip her hair out of her head. But I'm a be a lady and stay calm. And act as if her smart remarks don't bother me a bit.

"Look, I appreciate you trying to warn me. But last time I checked, I'm a grown woman. And I can handle it." I replied and sipped my drink.
"Thanks for having lunch with me. I'll see you tonight." Candice said as she stood up from the table and walked away.

As I finished my meal, I couldn't help but think this isn't over.

Mya's POV:
I woke up to knocks at my door. I checked my phone to see it was six am. I rolled out of bed and walked to the door. I opened the door to reveal it was Larry. Larry was dressed like a butler.

"Babe, why are you here? It's six in the morning." I asked.
"Madame, I'm aware of that. I'm here to cater to you on your special day. May I come in?" Larry replied.

Larry bowed his head and walked inside. Even with him being dressed as a butler, he still looked good. He asked me to go to the bedroom and relax. As I laid in bed, I wondered what Larry had in mind.

An hour later, Larry walked into my bedroom with a food tray of confetti pancakes with an lit candle, sausages, hash browns, over easy eggs, small cup of mixed berries and a glass of cranberry apple juice.
